Calendly

An AI receptionist that books into your Calendly

Callers get a time from your Calendly event type while they talk to your agent, without a link to click or a form to fill.

Updated

Connect Calendly once with Calendly sign-in and choose the event type the agent books. During a call the agent reads the free times of that event type, books the one the caller picks, and passes requests to move or cancel on to you (or handles them itself when you allow it). Calendly needs the attendee's e-mail address, so the agent asks for it and spells it back before booking.

What the agent does with Calendly

Free times

Offers only the times your Calendly event type has open.

Books on the call

Creates the booking with the caller's name and e-mail address, which it confirms letter by letter.

Changes and cancellations

By default a request to move or cancel reaches you with the details, and you confirm it. Let the agent decide alone and it moves the meeting in one step, the new time checked first, or cancels it. It only ever changes the caller's own booking.

Confirms

Calendly sends its own confirmation, and the agent can also confirm by text message or e-mail.

Set it up in four steps

  1. 1

    Connect Calendly

In the dashboard, open the agent's Connectors and sign in to Calendly.

  2. 2

    Choose the event type

Pick the Calendly event type the agent books, for example a 30-minute consultation.

  3. 3

    Set your booking rules

When you turn the calendar on, choose the days and hours you take meetings, how long a meeting is, the gap between meetings, where it takes place (your address, a phone call, Zoom, Google Meet or Teams) and which channels may book.

  4. 4

    Test a call

Call your agent, ask for a meeting and see the booking in Calendly.

Calendly questions

Calendly books an invitee by e-mail address. The agent asks for it, spells it back, and books only once the caller confirms it.
Phone calls, the website chat and the voice-in-browser widget. On the website, a visitor who wants to cancel or move a meeting first gets a code by text message or WhatsApp (when the agent can send them; otherwise the request goes to your office), so only the person who booked can change it. You choose which channels may book: website chat is off until you turn it on.
Yes, under your rules. By default the agent takes the request with the meeting details and you confirm it; you can let it cancel and move meetings by itself in the agent's standing orders. Either way it only touches the booking that carries the caller's own number, never someone else's and never one of your own events. A caller who hides their number cannot book: the agent takes the request for you instead.
If the calendar refuses the access (a revoked sign-in or a changed key), the agent stops offering times and takes booking requests for you, and the dashboard shows Reconnect on the agent until you sign in again.
Yes. Connect both and choose which one the agent books into.
