# UIRIX AI > UIRIX AI is an AI agent platform for businesses and individuals. Businesses get AI agents that answer the phone 24/7, run outbound calling campaigns, chat with website visitors and talk with them in the browser. Individuals get a Personal AI Agent: an AI phone assistant with its own phone number that answers your calls when you forward them to it, takes messages, puts the people you choose through to you and calls people and local businesses for you. Both can be run from Claude or ChatGPT through the UIRIX MCP server (https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp). A business agent is built from your website URL in minutes; a personal agent is created in the UIRIX dashboard in seconds, with no website. 40 voices; business agents speak 17 languages out of the box and 70 with Gemini voices, and the Personal AI Agent speaks 17. The MCP connector has 85 tools. Plans from $49/month or pay as you go from $10/month ($2 per AI agent); calls are billed by the AI voice usage they take. Live demo: call +1-646-679-6818 and talk to our AI. ## Products - [AI Inbound Calls](https://www.uirix.com/en/inbound-calls): 24/7 AI receptionist that answers your business phone, books appointments in Google or Microsoft 365 calendars, captures leads, opens tickets and orders, and transfers to a person when needed. - [AI Outbound Calls](https://www.uirix.com/en/outbound-calls): AI calling campaigns for reminders, lead qualification, collections and event RSVPs, with a do-not-call list, calling windows and retries. On voicemail it leaves a short message, and it ends calls that reach an automated phone menu. - [AI Website Chat](https://www.uirix.com/en/website-chat): chat and voice widget trained on your website and documents, with an optional side-panel "AI View". - [AI Voice in Browser](https://www.uirix.com/en/voice-in-browser): real-time voice conversations with website visitors, live captions, 40 voices. ## Personal AI Agent (AI phone assistant) - [The AI phone assistant that answers and makes calls for you](https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant): the Personal AI Agent, an AI phone assistant for one person with its own phone number. It answers calls to its number (forward your phone to it when you are busy), screens callers, takes messages, puts the people you choose through to you, and calls people and local businesses for you, then reports what was agreed. Created in the UIRIX dashboard in seconds, no website needed. - [What Can an AI Phone Assistant Call About? Real Requests That Work Today](https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/what-to-ask): requests that work today, in the words people use (book a table, move an appointment, ask a local business a question, who called me), and what it cannot do yet. - [AI That Calls a Restaurant and Books a Table for You](https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/restaurant-reservations): have it call a restaurant to book, move or cancel a table, including restaurants that take bookings only by phone. - [AI That Books Appointments for You by Phone: Dentist, Doctor, Haircut, Vet](https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/book-appointments): have it call a dentist, a doctor's office, a hair salon or a vet to book or move an appointment and report the time it got. - [AI That Calls for Quotes: Compare Prices From Local Shops and Contractors](https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/price-quotes): have it call up to three businesses for the same errand on one yes, with every number shown to you first, and report each answer, so you can compare price, timing and what is included. - [AI Call Screening With Messages: Know Who Called and Why](https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/call-screening): when someone calls its number, it asks who is calling and why, takes a message, puts through only the people you chose and turns sales calls away politely; for calls your carrier marks as forwarded from your phone, it takes a message instead of ringing you again. - Setup: create it in the UIRIX dashboard (Create agent, then Personal AI Agent); it is ready in seconds with no website. Give it a phone number on the agent page (Get Number), which requires a saved payment card. - Before it calls: your chat app is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to get your yes, and the connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. One yes can cover a quick comparison of up to three businesses for the same errand, with every number shown to you first. When it calls a business for you, it says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf, and it is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. - Limits today: it talks with people and cannot press keys or wait on hold, so automated phone menus usually end the call early. It works best with people and local businesses where a person answers, not with banks, utilities, airlines, insurers or government lines. It does not pay for things. - Who called: ask Claude or ChatGPT "who called me?" to see who called in the last 30 days and what each caller wanted. Calls are recorded by default, transcribed and summarized; recording can be turned off in Profile > Privacy. ## Connect Claude or ChatGPT - MCP server URL: https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp (remote MCP over HTTPS; you sign in with your UIRIX account, no client ID or secret needed) - Claude (claude.ai or Claude Desktop): Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector, name it UIRIX and paste the server URL, or open the one-click link that fills in the dialog on claude.ai: https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=UIRIX&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fdashboard.uirix.com%2Fapi%2Fext%2Fv1%2Fmcp (as of October 2026, Anthropic allows one custom connector on the Claude Free plan and more on paid plans) - Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http uirix https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp, then /mcp to sign in - ChatGPT (on the web): https://chatgpt.com/plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server; paste the server URL, choose OAuth and create it as a plugin. In a chat, type @ and pick UIRIX. - Permissions: on the UIRIX sign-in screen you choose what the assistant may do. Placing phone calls needs the Outbound calls permission, which is off by default. - Then type "uirix" for a numbered menu of your agents and what you can do with each one (85 tools). - Setup guide: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/claude-chatgpt ## Integrations and developers - [Connect your AI agent to the tools you already use](https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations): Connect your UIRIX AI voice agent to Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, HubSpot lists, Zapier and Twilio, or build your own flow with the Public API and signed webhooks. - [An AI receptionist that books straight into Google Calendar](https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/google-calendar): Let your AI phone agent check Google Calendar availability and book, reschedule or cancel appointments during calls and website chats, 24/7. - [Book Outlook meetings from every call and chat](https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/microsoft-365): Connect Microsoft 365 / Outlook Calendar to your AI phone agent: availability checks, meeting booking and online meeting links during calls and chats. - [Turn HubSpot lists into AI outbound calling campaigns](https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/hubspot): Import HubSpot contacts and lists into UIRIX outbound campaigns and let an AI phone agent call them: reminders, qualification, collections and event RSVPs. - [Connect your AI agent to thousands of apps through Zapier](https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/zapier): Use Zapier with your UIRIX AI agent: feed new content into its knowledge, and send conversations, summaries and call results to thousands of apps. - [A real phone number for your AI agent in about a minute](https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/twilio): Get a local phone number for your AI agent in about a minute and forward your existing business number to it. Ask it in Claude or ChatGPT to call a restaurant, the dentist or the garage for you: it can book a table, book or move an appointment, get quotes or get someone on the line, and it tells you what was agreed. When calls come in, it screens unknown callers, takes messages, puts the people you choose through to your phone and tells you who called. It introduces itself as your assistant, never as you: when it calls a business for you, it says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf, and it is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. It talks with people and cannot press keys or wait on hold, so it works best where a person answers the phone. You create it in the UIRIX dashboard in seconds, with no website. ## Ask it like this Type requests like these in Claude or ChatGPT, in your own words. When it does not know a business yet, give it the number or let your chat app look it up; you see the number before it calls. Before it calls, your chat app repeats the number, the task and the timing and asks for your yes. - "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday. If they're full, ask what times they have." Give it the restaurant's number, or let your chat app look it up, and the name for the booking. - "Call and move my reservation from 7 to 8:30. It's under Cohen." Say which restaurant and which day. - "Call Tony's Pizza and order a large pepperoni for pickup at 6:30 under Dan. I'll pay when I pick it up." Give it the number. Your task allows the order, and you pay at pickup. - "Book me a dentist appointment next week, any morning." Give it the office number, or save your dentist once, plus the patient's name and your insurance plan. - "Find out if Dr. Kim is taking new patients and if they take Aetna." Give it the office number and the name of your plan. - "Call the garage and ask if my car is ready." Give it the garage's number the first time, and the name the car is under. - "Get me quotes for four new tires from these three shops." Give it the three numbers and your tire size or car. One yes covers all three calls. - "Call Rosa's Cantina and ask if anyone turned in a black jacket last night. We were in the corner booth around 9." Give it the number if it does not know the place yet. - "Call the hotel and ask for a late checkout tomorrow." Give it the hotel's own number, not central reservations, and the name on the booking. - "Who called me today?" or "Any calls I need to return? List what each one wanted." Nothing to give: it reads the calls that reached its number in the last 30 days. More requests you can give it: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/what-to-ask ## Run it from Claude or ChatGPT Your personal agent has its own menu in the UIRIX connector for Claude and ChatGPT. Type "uirix", choose the agent, and ask it what you need as you would ask a human assistant. Switch on Outbound calls when you connect so it can place calls for you. - Call for me: give it the task, the number and your limits; it repeats the plan and calls only after your yes. - What came in: who called, what they wanted, how urgent it is and the callback number, newest first. - Get to know me: a short interview, one question at a time, that builds your profile. It is instructed to save only what you tell it, after you agree. - What do you know about me: everything it has saved, in a few lines. - Forget something: remove a person, an account, a topic or your whole profile, or turn learning off so it is instructed to save nothing new. Call recordings and transcripts follow your privacy settings. - Rules: who is always put through, who gets a message, and how it should handle your calls. - Try by chat: a quick test conversation before the next real call. How the Claude and ChatGPT connector works: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/claude-chatgpt ## Built to work for you, not as you - It introduces itself as your assistant, never as you. When it calls a business for you, it says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf, and it is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. - Before it calls, your chat app is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to get your yes, and the connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. One yes can cover a quick comparison of up to three businesses for the same errand, with every number shown to you first. - You decide when: a call goes out right away unless you give a time or a window of hours, and a window follows the local time of the number being called. - It is instructed to ask before it remembers: you agree once, and you can turn learning off at any time. - It is instructed never to ask for passwords, verification codes or full card numbers, and your profile refuses them. A provider and a customer number are enough, so never put these in a task you give it. - Each call is a real call, billed by the AI voice usage it takes, plus a short summary, from your monthly allowance or your wallet. - Calls are recorded by default, transcribed and summarized. Recordings, transcripts and summaries are deleted automatically after one year, unless you choose another period or to keep them in Profile > Privacy, where you can also turn recording off. It can have the phone line announce the recording before it speaks: switch it on in Profile > Privacy, always or where the local rules call for it. - Changes to your profile and rules apply on the next call, with no rebuild. ## What it cannot do yet Today your assistant works best with people and local businesses where a person answers the phone, such as restaurants, salons, garages, contractors and local shops. This is what it does not do yet: - Phone menus and hold: it talks with people and cannot press keys. Automated phone menus usually end the call early, and silence, hold music or repeated hold messages usually end it within the first minute or two. That rules out most banks, utilities, airlines, insurers and government lines. - Front desks: it puts through only the person you named, after that person agrees. It does not connect you to a receptionist, a voicemail or a phone menu. - New businesses: it looks up only the people and businesses it already knows. For a new one, give it the number or let your chat app look it up. - Payments: it does not agree to a price, a deposit, a purchase or a contract unless your task allows it, and it is not meant to pay for anything. Never put passwords, PINs or card numbers in a task. - Recurring calls: it does not repeat a call on a schedule, such as every morning. Each call, or a quick comparison of up to three businesses for the same errand, needs your yes. - Questions mid-call: it cannot stop a call to ask you. If the time you wanted is taken, it finds out what is open and reports back; booking another time is a new call. - Redialing: if nobody answers or the line is busy, it can try again, up to three calls in all, at least 30 minutes apart and only inside a window of hours you set. A call that reaches voicemail, a phone menu or silence is reported back to you, not dialed again; on voicemail it is instructed to leave one short message. - Emergencies and campaigns: it is not for emergency calls, or for sales, marketing, debt collection or political calls. In an emergency, call 911 yourself. Compare the ways to have AI make calls for you: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-that-makes-phone-calls ## What your AI phone assistant does - Answers your calls: Forward your calls to it for when you are busy or do not pick up. It answers, asks who is calling and what it is about, and saves a short message for you with the callback number. - Screens callers: Unknown callers are asked who they are and why they are calling, and can leave a message. Sales calls and robocalls get one polite sentence and the call ends. It is instructed never to give your number, address or other details to callers. - Puts the right people through: Each person you save gets a rule: always put through, try to connect and take a message if you do not answer, or message only. Save their number and it greets them by name. - Calls for you: Call the restaurant, the dentist or the garage: it books a table or an appointment, moves one, asks if your car is ready or gets a quote, then tells you what was agreed. It talks with people and cannot press keys or wait on hold, so it works best where a person answers the phone. - Gets someone on the line: "Get Dana on the line": it calls her, checks it reached her and asks if it may put her through. On a yes your phone rings and you are connected. It connects only the person you named, never a receptionist, a voicemail or a phone menu. Use it with people who know your assistant may call. - Knows you: Your people, providers, customer numbers, routine and rules, in a profile you build by chatting. Your profile refuses passwords, verification codes and full card numbers. - Speaks your language: 17 languages, with natural voices you can choose and change at any time. It calls in its own language or another of the 17 you pick for that call, and switches when the other person clearly asks for a different language. - Tells you who called: Calls are transcribed and summarized. Ask Claude or ChatGPT "who called me?" to see who called in the last 30 days and what they wanted. ## AI personal assistant or business AI voice agent? | | Personal AI Agent | Business AI voice agent | | --- | --- | --- | | Works for | One person | A business and its customers | | Built from | Your name and a short profile, in seconds | Your website and documents | | Incoming calls | Screens callers, takes messages, puts your people through | Answers customers, captures leads, books meetings | | Outgoing calls | Errands for you: appointments, reservations, questions to local businesses, getting someone on the line | Campaigns: follow-ups, reminders, confirmations | | Managed from | Claude or ChatGPT, and the dashboard | Claude or ChatGPT, and the dashboard | For a business that wants an AI voice agent for its customers, see the UIRIX AI voice agent platform on the home page. ## Set it up in four steps 1. Create the agent: In the UIRIX dashboard choose Create agent, then Personal AI Agent. No website and no setup questions: it is ready in seconds, with your name and the voice you pick. 2. Give it a phone number: On the agent page choose Get Number and pick a number from the countries listed there. Getting a number requires a saved payment card, and any monthly price is shown before you confirm. 3. Forward your calls to it: Set call forwarding on your mobile for when you are busy or do not answer. When your carrier marks a call as forwarded from your number, the agent takes a message instead of sending the caller back to you. 4. Connect Claude or ChatGPT: Add the UIRIX connector with the address https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp and sign in to UIRIX. On the permission screen, switch on Outbound calls so it can place calls; it is off by default. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. In ChatGPT on the web, open chatgpt.com/plugins, select the plus button and add a custom MCP server. Then type "uirix", choose your personal agent and pick "Get to know me". ## Frequently asked questions Q: What is an AI phone assistant? A: An AI phone assistant is an AI personal assistant that handles phone calls for you: it answers when you cannot, screens and routes callers, takes messages, and places calls on your behalf, speaking with a natural AI voice. The UIRIX Personal AI Agent does this from its own phone number, and you manage it by chatting with ChatGPT or Claude, or in the UIRIX dashboard. Q: Can ChatGPT make phone calls for me? A: As of October 2026, ChatGPT does not place phone calls on its own. Connect UIRIX to ChatGPT and it can: say "call the dentist and move my appointment to Thursday afternoon", ChatGPT repeats the plan and asks for your yes, your personal AI agent calls from its own number, and ChatGPT tells you what was agreed from the call transcript. Switch on Outbound calls when you connect; it is off by default. Q: Can Claude make phone calls? A: Yes, through the UIRIX connector for Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code). To add it, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Switch on Outbound calls when you connect; it is off by default. Claude confirms the number, the task and the timing with you, asks your personal AI agent to make the call, then tells you the result. Q: Can ChatGPT call a restaurant and book a table for me? A: ChatGPT can book some tables without a call: as of October 2026 it finds open tables at restaurants listed on OpenTable, Resy or Yelp and books them through those services, which is the quickest way when the restaurant is listed. It does not phone the restaurant itself. For a restaurant that takes bookings by phone, connect UIRIX and ask: "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday. If they're full, ask what times they have." Give the number or let ChatGPT look it up, and you see it before the call. After your yes, your personal AI agent makes the call and ChatGPT tells you what was agreed. Q: Can an AI call a business for me? A: Yes. As of October 2026 there are a few ways. Google Search can call local businesses for free to ask about prices and availability, in the US and for a set list of business types, and it does not book. Gemini Call for Me, an early test on Pixel 11 phones in the US that needs a paid Google AI plan, calls a business from your own number and can get through phone menus and wait on hold, which UIRIX cannot do yet. The UIRIX Personal AI Agent calls from its own number when you ask in Claude or ChatGPT: it can book or move an appointment, ask a question or compare up to three businesses on one yes, and it tells you what was agreed. It works best where a person answers the phone. Q: Can it really make calls for me? A: Yes. Tell it what to do, for example "book a dental check-up next week in the afternoon", and give it the number. It repeats the plan, calls after your yes, and reports what was agreed from the call transcript. It can also reach a person and connect them to your phone. Q: Can it tell me who called me? A: Yes, for the calls that reach your assistant's number, such as the calls you forward to it. Ask Claude or ChatGPT "who called me today?" or "any calls I need to return?" and it lists who called in the last 30 days and what they wanted. Messages are saved as call summaries, and a note of each call can also reach you by e-mail or text, depending on your notification settings. Q: What happens when someone I do not know calls? A: It asks who is calling and why, takes a message with a callback number, and politely ends sales calls. People you marked "always put through" are put through to your phone when they call your assistant's number. When your carrier marks a call as forwarded from your phone, it takes a message instead of ringing you again. Q: How is it different from call screening on my phone? A: As of October 2026, iPhone Call Screening and Pixel Call Screen ask unknown callers who they are and why they are calling, and show you the answer so you can decide whether to pick up. Both are free and work on your own number, Pixel can hang up on spam by itself, and iPhone Hold Assist and Pixel Hold for Me wait on hold during calls you make, which UIRIX cannot do. Your personal AI voice assistant answers on its own number, so you forward calls to it. It follows your rule for each person, takes full messages, puts the people you choose through, remembers your providers and customer numbers, and also makes calls for you, in 17 languages. Phone screening does not call a business for you. Q: Does the personal AI agent pretend to be me? A: No. It introduces itself as your assistant, never as you, and it is instructed to say plainly that it is an AI whenever someone asks. When it calls a business for you, it opens with its name and says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf. Q: What can it not do yet? A: Today it works best with people and local businesses where a person answers the phone. It cannot press keys or wait on hold, so phone menus and hold queues usually end the call, which rules out most banks, utilities, airlines, insurers and government lines. It does not find new businesses on its own (give it the number or let your chat app look it up), put you through to a front desk, pay for things, or make recurring calls without your yes each time. It is not for emergencies: call 911 yourself. Q: Does it work outside the US? A: It can. You get your assistant's number in the dashboard from the countries listed there, 29 as of October 2026, such as the US, Canada, the UK and Israel, subject to availability. It speaks 17 languages: it calls in its own language or another of the 17 that you choose for that call, and it switches when the other person clearly asks for a different language. It calls from its own number, so that is the caller ID people see. Q: Do I need a website? A: No. A personal agent is built from your name and the profile you give it, not from a website. It is created in seconds; once you give it a phone number, it can answer and make calls. Q: Which phone number does it use? A: Its own UIRIX phone number, which you get on the agent page with Get Number; getting a number requires a saved payment card. Forward your mobile to it when you are busy or do not answer, and give the number to anyone who should reach your assistant directly. Q: What does it remember about me, and what never? A: It is instructed to save only what you tell it, after you agree: the people who matter, your providers, customer numbers, your routine and your rules. Your profile refuses passwords, verification codes and full card numbers. You can ask it to forget a person, an account, a topic or your whole profile; call recordings and transcripts follow your privacy settings. Q: What does it cost? A: Pay as you go starts at $10 a month for up to 5 agents ($2 per agent, in packs of 5), and that fee counts toward your usage. Usage beyond it, such as calls, is paid from a prepaid wallet, which your first payment funds with $100. Each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes. Getting a phone number requires a saved payment card. See the pricing page for details. Q: Which AI apps can I use with it? A: Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code) and ChatGPT, through the UIRIX connector; both get the same tools. In ChatGPT, you add the connector on the web, at chatgpt.com/plugins. You can also manage the agent in the UIRIX dashboard. --- # What Can an AI Phone Assistant Call About? Real Requests That Work Today URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/what-to-ask Updated: 2026-10-10 An AI phone assistant like the UIRIX Personal AI Agent can make everyday calls that a person answers: booking, moving or canceling a table or an appointment, asking a question, collecting prices from up to three businesses on one yes, checking whether your car or order is ready, and passing on a message. You type the request in Claude or ChatGPT, for example "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday", and your assistant calls from its own number after your yes. It can also tell you who called and get someone on the line for you. It cannot press phone-menu keys or wait on hold yet, so banks, airlines, utilities and other big call centers are not a fit today. ## Restaurants: book a table, check the wait, order takeout Restaurants are the easiest calls, because a person usually answers. Give your assistant the restaurant (a name it already knows, or the number) and the name on the booking, and say what to do if your time is taken. - "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday. If they're full, ask what times they have." Give it: the number and the name on the booking. - "Can you book us a table for two tonight around 8 at Sala Thai on Main?" Give it: the number and your name. - "Call and move my reservation from 7 to 8:30. It's under Cohen." Give it: the restaurant and the date. - "Call and cancel my reservation for tomorrow, party of 6, under Miller." It asks about any cancellation fee before it cancels. - "Ask if they take walk-ins tonight and how long the wait is right now." Give it: the restaurant. - "Call Tony's Pizza and order a large pepperoni and a Caesar salad for pickup at 6:30 under Dan. I'll pay when I pick it up." Give it: the number. You pay at pickup. More on AI restaurant reservations: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/restaurant-reservations ## Doctors, dentists and pharmacies Booking or moving a dentist or doctor appointment works when a person answers. Many medical office lines start with a phone menu, and your assistant cannot press keys or wait on hold, so the call usually ends early and you are told. Give it the office's direct number if you have one, the patient's name, and only what the office needs, such as a date of birth or your insurance plan. Calls are recorded and transcribed by default, so leave out health details the call does not need. - "Book me a dentist appointment next week, any morning." Give it: the dentist, the patient's name and your insurance. - "Call my dentist and ask if they have any earlier cancellations." Give it: your current appointment date. - "Find out if Dr. Kim is taking new patients and if they take Aetna." Give it: the office number and your plan. - "Call Dr. Patel's office and move my Thursday appointment to sometime next week." Give it: the current time, your date of birth and the days that work. - "Call the dentist and ask if they're in-network with Delta Dental PPO." Give it: the office number. - "Call Main Street Pharmacy and ask if my refill is ready to pick up." Give it: the name and date of birth on the prescription. A pharmacy where a person answers works best. More on booking appointments by phone: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/book-appointments ## The garage and your car Local garages, mechanics, body shops and tire shops usually answer the phone themselves. Give your assistant the shop and the name or the car the job is under. Dealership service lines often start with a phone menu, so they work only when a person picks up. - "Call the garage and ask if my car is ready." Give it: the garage and the name on the job. - "Call these three shops and ask how much an oil change is and if they can do it today." Give it: the three numbers and your make, model and year. - "Get me quotes for four new tires from these three shops." Give it: the tire size or the car, and the three numbers. - "Call the garage, ask what the final bill is, and don't approve any extra work." It does not agree to a price you did not allow. - "Call the body shop and ask for a rough estimate on a rear bumper dent." It cannot send photos, so describe the damage. ## Stores, deliveries and orders Call the store, not the shipper. Shipping carriers answer with menus and hold queues, but the shop that sold you the item usually has a person who can check. For a delivery, give your assistant the order number and the name on the order. - "My couch order is late. Call the store, not the shipper, and find out the new delivery date." Give it: the store and the order number. - "Call the toy store on Main and ask if they have the LEGO Titanic and can hold one until 6." It agrees to no deposit unless you say so. - "Call the hardware store and ask if they have 3-inch deck screws." Give it: the store. - "Ask the store if I can return this without the receipt." Give it: the store, the item and the purchase date. ## Home services, contractors and quotes For quotes, one yes can cover up to three businesses for the same errand, and you see every number before anything is dialed. Give the numbers yourself, or ask Claude or ChatGPT to look them up first. Your assistant collects prices and dates; it does not agree to a price or book unless your request allows it. - "Call these three tile guys and ask what they'd charge to regrout my shower and how soon they could start." Give it: the three numbers and the job. - "Call these HVAC companies and ask what they charge for an AC tune-up." Give it: up to three numbers and your system type. - "Call the roofer back and ask when they can come look at the leak." It can look the roofer up if it already knows them, for example from a recent call. - "Call the handyman and book him Saturday morning to mount the TV." Give it: the number and your address. - "Call my plumber's office and ask why I was billed twice for the same visit." Give it: the invoice number. More on getting quotes by phone: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/price-quotes ## Your landlord or building Landlords, supers and leasing offices are usually a person or a small office. If your assistant reaches voicemail, it is instructed to leave one short message: who it is, who it is calling for, why, and the number to call back. - "Call my landlord and tell them the heat's been out since Monday." Give it: your unit number. - "Ask the leasing office if I can go month to month and what it costs." It asks only; it does not agree to anything you did not allow. - "Call my old landlord and ask when my security deposit will be mailed." Give it: your move-out date. - "Call the apartments on Elm and ask if they have a 2-bedroom for November and the rent." One yes covers up to three of them. ## Hotels, rental cars and travel Call the hotel itself or the local rental branch, not a central reservations line, which often starts with a menu. Airlines are not a fit yet: their lines are menus and long holds. - "Call the hotel and ask for a late checkout tomorrow." Give it: the hotel's own number and the name on the booking. - "Call the hotel and ask if they have a crib and if parking is free." Give it: your dates. - "Call the rental car place and tell them I'll be 2 hours late for pickup." Give it: the branch number and the name on the reservation. - "Call the hotel and ask them to hold my room. I'll arrive after midnight." Give it: the name on the booking. ## Pets and vets Vets, groomers and boarding places are local and usually pick up. For a pet emergency, call your emergency vet yourself, right away. - "Call the vet and book my dog's shots for next week." Give it: your pet's name and the days that work. - "Call these groomers and ask the price for a full groom for a doodle." Give it: up to three numbers and your dog's size. - "Ask the boarding place if they have room for Max Thanksgiving week." It agrees to no deposit unless you say so. - "Ask the vet if Luna's prescription food is ready to pick up." Give it: the vet and your pet's name. ## Salons, barbers, spas and gyms Salons, barbers, spas and gyms are a good fit, especially the ones that only book by phone. Put your limits in the request: a time window, a stylist, a price ceiling, or whether a deposit is OK. - "Book me a haircut for next Tuesday afternoon." Give it: the salon, if it does not know it yet. - "My barber only takes bookings by phone. Call and get me in Saturday morning." Give it: the barber's number. - "My sister's wedding is the 25th. I need a cut and color the week before, ideally Wednesday or Thursday evening, with Jess if she's free. Don't book anything over $250." Give it: the salon. - "Call the gym and ask if they have a free trial day and what the monthly rate is." It asks only; it does not sign you up. ## Lost items and opening hours Quick questions make good short calls. For a lost item, say roughly when you were there and what it looks like. - "Call Rosa's Cantina and ask if anyone turned in a black jacket last night. We were in the corner booth around 9." - "Call the hardware store and ask if they're open on Thanksgiving and until what time." - "Call the HOA office and ask when the pool reopens." ## Reaching a person and connecting you Your assistant can call people too. Use it for people who know your assistant may call them. To get someone on the line, it calls them, introduces itself as your assistant, checks it reached the right person and asks if it may put them through. On their yes, your phone rings for about 25 seconds; answer and you are connected. It connects only the person you named, not a front desk, a voicemail or a phone menu. - "Call my mom and tell her I'm running 15 minutes late." - "Call Sarah and ask if she's still coming to dinner Friday." - "Get my brother Danny on the line." Give it: Danny's number, if it does not know him yet. - "Call my mom's home aide Rosa and tell her in Spanish that Mom's appointment moved to 2pm." It can make the call in any of its 17 languages. More about the AI phone assistant: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant ## Who called me and what they wanted When someone calls your assistant's number, it introduces itself as your assistant, asks who is calling and why, takes a message, and puts through only the people you chose. It turns sales calls away politely. It also answers the calls you forward to it from your mobile when you are busy, and when your carrier marks a call as forwarded from your phone, it takes a message instead of ringing you again. Ask Claude or ChatGPT about calls from the last 30 days. - "Who called me today?" - "That number called 3 times this morning. Who was it and what did they want?" - "Any calls I need to return? Make me a list with what each one wanted." - "If my kid's school calls, put them through. Everyone else, take a message." Give it: the school's number. More on AI call screening: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/call-screening ## Ask in the chat, no call needed These requests do not place a call. They change what your assistant knows or tell you what happened. It is instructed to save only what you tell it, and only after you agree, and your profile refuses passwords, verification codes and full card or bank account numbers. - "Remember my dentist is Dr. Kim at Smile Dental, 555-0142." - "My car's a 2019 Camry. Save it for when you call the garage." - "Forget my ex's number." - "How did the call to the garage go?" - "Get to know me so you can make calls for me." It asks one question at a time. How the Claude and ChatGPT connector works: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/claude-chatgpt ## How to ask so the call goes well Before it calls, your chat app is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to get your yes, and the UIRIX connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. A clear request gets a short call and a useful answer: - Name the place. Say "my dentist" and it looks among the people and businesses it already knows. For a new place, give the number or ask your chat app to look it up; you see the number before it calls. - Say whose name the booking or order is under, and add only the details the call needs, such as an order number, or a date of birth for a doctor's office. - Set your limits: a time window, a price ceiling ("nothing over $250"), whether a deposit is OK, or "don't approve any extra work". It does not agree to a price, a deposit or a purchase unless your request allows it. - Say what to do if your first choice is taken, such as "if they're full, ask what times they have". To choose before anything is booked, ask it to collect the options first and book in a second call. - Say when. A call goes out right away unless you give a time or a window of hours, and a window follows the local time of the number being called. With a window, it can try again if nobody answers or the line is busy: up to three calls in all, at least 30 minutes apart. - Compare up to three places on one yes. One yes can cover up to three businesses for the same errand, with every number shown to you first. - Keep secrets out. Never put passwords, PINs or card numbers in a request; a customer or order number is enough. ## Works today vs not yet | Request | Today | Why | | --- | --- | --- | | Book, move or cancel a restaurant table | Yes | A person usually answers. Give the number and the name on the booking. | | Ask a local shop, salon, vet or landlord a question | Yes | Small businesses and offices usually pick up themselves. | | Get prices from up to three local businesses | Yes | One yes covers up to three businesses for the same errand, and you see every number first. | | Call a friend, a sitter or a relative with a message | Yes | For people who know your assistant may call them. | | "Who called me today?" | Yes | Answered in the chat, for calls that reached its number in the last 30 days. | | Book or move a dentist or doctor appointment | Only if a person answers | Many office lines start with a phone menu, which usually ends the call early. Use a direct number if you have one. | | Ask a chain pharmacy about a refill, or a dealer about a repair | Only if a person answers | These lines often open with a phone menu, and it cannot press keys. | | Find a plumber who can come today | Yes, once you have the numbers | It does not search for businesses on its own. Give up to three numbers, or let your chat app look them up first. | | Lower a cable or phone bill, or cancel a subscription | Not yet | These lines answer with phone menus and hold queues. It cannot press keys or wait on hold. | | Rebook a canceled flight | Not yet | Airline lines are menus and long holds. | | Wait on hold and connect me when someone picks up | Not yet | It cannot wait on hold, and it connects you only to the person you named, not a front desk. | | Call five companies for quotes in one go | Not yet | One yes covers up to three businesses for the same errand. | | Call Grandma every morning to check on her | Not yet | It does not make recurring calls without your yes each time. | | Ask the shipping carrier why a package is late | Not yet | Carrier lines are menus and hold queues. Have it call the store that sold the item instead. | | Pay a bill or a deposit for me | No | It is not meant to pay for anything. Pay the business yourself, and keep card numbers out of your requests. | | Call 911 or poison control for me | No | For an emergency, call 911 yourself, right away. | Status as of October 10, 2026. "Only if a person answers" means the call works when a person picks up and usually ends early when a phone menu or a hold message answers instead. A call that ends this way is reported back to you, not dialed again automatically. ## Start asking in four steps 1. Create your personal agent: In the UIRIX dashboard choose Create agent, then Personal AI Agent. It needs no website and is ready in seconds. 2. Get it a phone number: On the agent page choose Get Number. A number needs a saved payment card, and any monthly price is shown before you confirm. 3. Connect Claude or ChatGPT: Add the UIRIX connector with the server URL https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp and sign in. In Claude: Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector. In ChatGPT on the web: chatgpt.com/plugins, then +, then Add custom MCP server. On the permission screen, switch on Outbound calls; it is off by default. 4. Type your request: Use your own words or a request from this page. Your chat app repeats the number, the task and the timing and asks for your yes. When it calls a business for you, it says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf. Stay in the same chat to see how it went. ## What to ask an AI phone assistant: common questions Q: What can I ask ChatGPT to call for me? A: As of October 2026, ChatGPT does not place phone calls by itself, though it can book tables at restaurants listed on OpenTable, Resy or Yelp. Add UIRIX in ChatGPT on the web (chatgpt.com/plugins, then +, then Add custom MCP server; whether you can add one depends on your ChatGPT plan), sign in and switch on Outbound calls. Then type requests like "Call the garage and ask if my car is ready". ChatGPT repeats the number, the task and the timing, and your personal agent calls from its own number after your yes. Restaurants, offices, shops and people where a person answers work best. Q: What can I ask Claude to call for me? A: The same requests. As of October 2026, Claude does not make phone calls by itself, so add the UIRIX connector: in Claude open Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector and paste https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp, or use the one-click Add UIRIX to Claude link on this page. Sign in and switch on Outbound calls. As of October 2026, Anthropic says the Claude Free plan allows one custom connector. Then ask, for example, "Book me a haircut for next Tuesday afternoon" or "Who called me today?". It works in claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code. Q: What do I need to give it before it calls? A: The place, and usually its number. Say "call my dentist" and it looks among the people and businesses it already knows; for a new business, give the number or let your chat app look it up, and you see the number before it calls. Add the name on the booking or order, your limits, such as a time window, a price ceiling or "no deposit", and what to do if your first choice is taken. Leave out passwords, PINs and card numbers. Q: Will it call without asking me first? A: It is not meant to. Your chat app is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to get your yes, and the UIRIX connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. One yes can cover a quick comparison of up to three businesses for the same errand, with every number shown to you first. Q: Can I ask it to call a friend or family member? A: Yes, for people who know your assistant may call them. Try "Call my mom and tell her I'm running 15 minutes late" or "Get my brother Danny on the line". To connect you, it calls the person, checks it reached the right person and asks if it may put them through; then your phone rings for about 25 seconds. It is not for calling a list of people. Q: What can't I ask it to call about yet? A: Anything behind a phone menu or a hold queue, such as banks, cable and phone companies, utilities, airlines, insurers and government offices. Your assistant talks with people; it cannot press keys or wait on hold, and automated menus usually end the call early. It also does not pay for things, put you through to a front desk, find new businesses on its own, or make recurring calls without your yes each time. For an emergency, call 911 yourself. Q: Does the person on the phone know it is an AI? A: When it calls a business for you, it says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf. When it calls someone to connect you, it introduces itself as your assistant. It is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. Q: How much does a call cost? A: Each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, plus a short summary, from your plan's monthly amount and then your prepaid wallet. When it connects a call to your phone, your own part of the call is billed too. Pay as you go starts at $10 a month for up to 5 agents, and a phone number needs a saved payment card. Requests answered in the chat, such as "Who called me today?", do not place a call. --- # AI That Calls a Restaurant and Books a Table for You URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/restaurant-reservations Updated: 2026-10-10 Yes, an AI can call a restaurant and book a table for you. As of October 2026, ChatGPT books tables itself only through OpenTable, Resy or Yelp, and it does not place phone calls. For restaurants that take bookings by phone, the UIRIX Personal AI Agent makes the call after your yes in ChatGPT or Claude: it says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf and reports back what was agreed. ## Can ChatGPT or Claude book a restaurant on their own? Yes, through booking services, but neither one makes a phone call by itself. As of October 2026, ChatGPT can find open times and book a table through OpenTable, Resy or Yelp, depending on the restaurant: OpenTable worldwide, Resy in the US, and Yelp in the US and Canada. With some providers you finish the booking on their site, and changes go through the provider. When the restaurant is on one of those services, that is the quickest way to book, with no call at all. Claude can book through a connector: as of October 2026, its connector directory includes Resy, which finds a table at Resy restaurants and checks with you before it books. That leaves the restaurants that are not on those services or take bookings only by phone, and the questions a booking page cannot answer: is there a wait right now, can we sit outside, did anyone find my jacket. For those, someone has to call. Add the UIRIX connector to ChatGPT or Claude, and that someone is your personal AI agent. How the Claude and ChatGPT connector works: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/claude-chatgpt ## Book, move or cancel a table by phone Give your assistant the restaurant, the day and time, the party size and the name for the booking. Requests like these work today when a person answers the phone: - "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday. If they're full, ask what times they have." - "Can you book us a table for two tonight around 8 at Sala Thai on Main?" - "Can you call and move my reservation from 7 to 8:30? It's under Cohen." - "Call and cancel my reservation for tomorrow, party of 6, under Miller." - "Call and ask if they can seat us outside and if they have a high chair." - "Call the steakhouse and let them know one of us has a severe nut allergy." ## Walk-ins, the wait, pickup orders and lost items Not every restaurant call is a booking. Your assistant can ask a question, place a simple order you spell out, and bring back the answer. For a pickup order it is instructed to order exactly what you wrote, confirm the total and the pickup time, and add nothing else. You pay when you collect it: your assistant is not meant to pay for anything. - "Ask if they take walk-ins tonight and how long the wait is right now." - "Call Tony's Pizza and order a large pepperoni and a Caesar salad for pickup at 6:30 under Dan. I'll pay when I pick it up." - "Call Rosa's Cantina and ask if anyone turned in a black jacket last night. We were in the corner booth around 9." ## What happens on the call - It opens with its name and says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf. It is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. - It gives only the details the task needs: the name, the party size, the time and a callback number, which is the one in your task or else your own number from your profile. The restaurant sees your assistant's number as the caller ID. - It books only what you allow. If your time is taken, it asks for other times, notes them and reports them back. It cannot check with you during the call, so say up front how flexible you are. - It does not agree to a deposit, a fee or a card to hold the table unless your task allows it, and before it cancels, it asks whether a cancellation fee applies. If a fee comes up that your task did not allow, it does not go ahead and brings back the details. - Before it hangs up, it repeats the result: the date, the time, the name of the person it spoke with and any reference. You read it in ChatGPT or Claude, from the call transcript. - If it reaches voicemail, it is instructed to leave one short message: who it is, who it is calling for, why, and the number to call back. A call that reaches a phone menu, voicemail or silence is reported back to you; it is not dialed again automatically. ## What it cannot do yet - It talks with people; it cannot press keys or wait on hold. Automated phone menus usually end the call early, so it works best with restaurants where a person picks up. - Silence, hold music or repeated hold messages usually end the call within the first minute or two, and a call lasts at most 10 minutes. - It does not find restaurants on its own. Say "call Luigi's" and it looks among the places it already knows. For a new place, give it the number or let ChatGPT or Claude look it up, and you see the number before it calls. - A call goes out right away unless you give a time or a window of hours. A window follows the local time of the number being called, and the call waits until the window opens, so pick hours when the restaurant is open and not in the middle of a rush. - For a choice you want to make yourself, such as a private room or one of several times, have it ask first and report back, then approve a second call to book. Each call is billed. Compare the ways AI can make calls for you: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-that-makes-phone-calls ## Ways to get a table with AI, compared (as of October 2026) | | What it does | Best for | Limits | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | ChatGPT on its own | Finds open times and books a table through OpenTable, Resy or Yelp, depending on the restaurant | Restaurants listed on those services | Makes no phone calls. OpenTable worldwide, Resy in the US, Yelp in the US and Canada | | Google AI Mode | Finds open tables on partners such as OpenTable and Resy and links you to finish the booking | Restaurants on its partner platforms | Partner restaurants only. Separately, Google says it may phone a restaurant that has no online booking, in some markets only | | Gemini Call for Me | Calls a business from your own Pixel 11, books reservations, gets through phone menus and waits on hold | People in the US with a Pixel 11 and a paid Google AI subscription | An early test: US numbers only, English only, rolling out gradually | | UIRIX Personal AI Agent | Calls the restaurant from its own number after your yes in ChatGPT or Claude, then reports back | Restaurants that book by phone, walk-in and wait questions, pickup orders, lost items | Talks with people only: no key presses, no waiting on hold. A phone number requires a saved payment card | Details for ChatGPT, Google and Gemini come from OpenAI's help center and from Google's help pages and blog, as of October 10, 2026. These features change often, so check each service before you rely on it. ## Set it up once, then ask for a table 1. Create your personal agent: In the UIRIX dashboard choose Create agent, then Personal AI Agent. It is ready in seconds, with no website. 2. Give it a phone number: On the agent page choose Get Number. Getting a number requires a saved payment card. Restaurants see this number when your assistant calls. 3. Connect ChatGPT or Claude: Add the UIRIX connector at https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp and sign in. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector, or use the Add UIRIX to Claude button on this page (Anthropic says the Free plan allows one custom connector). In ChatGPT on the web, open chatgpt.com/plugins, select the plus button and choose Add custom MCP server. On the UIRIX permission screen, switch on Outbound calls; it is off by default. 4. Ask for the table: Type, for example: "Call Luigi's at (212) 555-0147 and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday under Cohen. If they're full, ask what times they have." ChatGPT or Claude repeats the number, the task and the timing and asks for your yes, and the connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. Stay in the same chat to hear how it went. ## Restaurant reservations by AI: common questions Q: Can ChatGPT make a restaurant reservation? A: Yes, at restaurants on OpenTable, Resy or Yelp. As of October 2026, ChatGPT can find open times and book through those services, depending on the restaurant, but it does not place phone calls on its own. For a restaurant that takes bookings by phone, connect UIRIX to ChatGPT: ChatGPT confirms the number, the task and the timing with you, and your personal AI agent makes the call. Q: Can Claude book a restaurant? A: Yes, with a connector. As of October 2026, Claude's connector directory includes Resy, which finds a table at Resy restaurants and checks with you before booking. For a restaurant that takes bookings by phone, add the UIRIX connector and switch on Outbound calls: Claude confirms the number, the task and the timing with you, your personal AI agent calls the restaurant, and Claude tells you what was agreed. Q: How do I get ChatGPT to call a restaurant for me? A: Create a personal agent in the UIRIX dashboard and give it a phone number (Get Number on the agent page; a saved payment card is required). In ChatGPT on the web, open chatgpt.com/plugins, select the plus button, choose Add custom MCP server and paste https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp. Sign in to UIRIX and switch on Outbound calls. Then type the request with the restaurant's number, for example "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday under Cohen", and say yes when ChatGPT repeats the plan. Q: Can an AI get me a dinner reservation tonight? A: Yes, if the restaurant takes bookings by phone and a person answers. Type something like "Can you book us a table for two tonight around 8 at Sala Thai on Main?" and give the number if it is a new place. After your yes the call goes out right away, unless you set a time or a window. If 8 is gone, it asks what they have and reports back, so say up front how late is too late. Q: Will the restaurant know it is an AI? A: When it calls a business for you, your assistant says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf, and it is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. It introduces itself as your assistant, never as you. Q: What if the time I want is not available? A: It books only inside the times you allow. If nothing fits, it asks for the nearest other times, notes them and reports them back. It cannot check with you during the call, so give a range, such as "anytime between 7 and 8:30", or let it ask first and approve a second call to book. Each call is billed. Q: Will it pay a deposit or give my card number? A: It does not agree to a deposit, a fee or a card hold unless your task allows it, and it is not meant to pay for anything. Never put a card number in a task. If the restaurant needs a card to hold the table, your assistant brings back the details and you finish the booking yourself. Q: What does it cost? A: Free trial credit lets you create your personal agent with no credit card. Getting a phone number requires a saved payment card. Each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, plus a short summary, from your plan's monthly amount and then your prepaid wallet. As of October 2026, ChatGPT and Claude do not place phone calls on their own, but with the UIRIX connector your personal AI agent calls after your yes, books inside the times you allow and asks about fees before booking. It cannot press keys or wait on hold, so give it a number where a person answers. ## Doctor and dentist appointments Ask the way you would ask a human assistant. Requests like these work today when a person answers the phone: - "Book me a dentist appointment next week, any morning." - "Call my dentist and ask if they have any earlier cancellations." - "Find out if Dr. Kim is taking new patients and if they take Aetna." - "Call Dr. Patel's office and move my Thursday appointment to sometime next week." - "Can you call the eye doctor and get me in for an exam? I need new contacts." - "I need a physical and a skin check. My insurance is Blue Cross PPO and I can only do Tuesday or Thursday after 3. Call Dr. Alvarez's office, see if they take my plan, and book the soonest slot. Don't confirm anything before 3pm." ## Haircuts, the vet, the garage and other appointments The same works for other businesses that take bookings by phone, as long as a person answers: - "Book me a haircut for next Tuesday afternoon." - "My barber only takes bookings by phone. Call and get me in Saturday morning." - "My sister's wedding is the 25th. I need a cut and color the week before, ideally Wednesday or Thursday evening, with Jess if she's free, otherwise anyone senior. Don't book anything over $250." - "Call the vet and book my dog's shots for next week." - "Ask the boarding place if they have room for Max Thanksgiving week." - "Book scheduled maintenance for my Camry next week." - "Get my car in for a state inspection this week, any morning." ## What happens on the call - It opens with its name and says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf, then says what the appointment is for and who it is for. It is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. - It offers the days and times you gave and books only inside that window. If nothing fits, it asks for the nearest alternatives and reports them back instead of booking. - It asks what to bring, whether there is a cancellation rule, and whether booking commits you to a fee or a deposit. If there is a fee your task did not allow, it does not book and brings back the details. - To move or cancel, it gives your name and the current date and time. It asks whether a fee applies before it cancels. - If the office asks for something you did not give, such as a date of birth or a member number, it says you will provide it or asks what they can do without it. It is instructed not to guess. - Before it hangs up, it confirms the date, the time, the address and the provider's name. You read the result in ChatGPT or Claude, from the call transcript. - The office sees your assistant's number as the caller ID. If they need a callback number, it gives the one in your task, or else your own number from your profile. ## What to give it first - The office: one it already knows ("call my dentist") or the number. A direct line where a person answers works better than a main number that opens with a menu. Say "Remember my dentist is Dr. Kim at Smile Dental, 555-0142" once, and next time "call my dentist" is enough. - What it is for and who it is for, in a few words: "a cleaning", "a check-up", "shots for my dog". - The days and times that work, as a window: "Tuesday or Thursday after 3". - Your limits: a price ceiling, whether a deposit is OK, and whether to book or only ask. - Details the office usually asks for, such as your insurance plan, but only what you are comfortable having said on a recorded call. Never put passwords, PINs or card numbers in a task. - To compare offices, one yes can cover up to three of them for the same errand, with every number shown to you first. ## Honest limits - Phone menus: many clinics answer with a phone menu. Your assistant talks with people; it cannot press keys or wait on hold, so an automated menu usually ends the call early, and the call is reported back to you. Give it the office's direct number when you have it. For an office that only answers with a menu, a service that presses keys and waits on hold, such as Gemini Call for Me on a Pixel 11 in the US, is the better fit today. - Hold: silence, hold music or repeated hold messages usually end the call within the first minute or two. A call that ends this way is not dialed again automatically. - Recording: calls are recorded by default, transcribed and summarized. Recordings, transcripts and summaries are deleted automatically after one year, unless you choose another period or to keep them in Profile > Privacy, where you can also turn recording off. Leave medical details you do not want stored out of the task. - Recording notice: you can have the phone line announce the recording before your assistant speaks: switch it on in Profile > Privacy, always or where the local rules call for it. - No questions mid-call: it cannot check with you during the call, so put your limits in the task. - Not for emergencies: for anything urgent about your health or your pet's, call the office or emergency services yourself. Compare the ways AI can make calls for you: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-that-makes-phone-calls ## Ways to use AI for appointment calls, compared (as of October 2026) | | What it does | Best for | Limits | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Google Search, "Have AI check pricing" | Calls several local businesses for prices and availability and sends you the answers | Comparing hair salons, pet groomers, auto repair and other listed services in the US | Gathers information only and does not book. US only, in English | | Gemini Call for Me | Calls a business from your own Pixel 11, books and manages appointments, gets through phone menus and waits on hold | People in the US with a Pixel 11 and a paid Google AI subscription | An early test: US numbers only, English only, rolling out gradually | | Juno app | Finds places nearby and phones them to book under your name, in set categories such as routine dentist visits, salons, pet grooming and car servicing | Bookings in the US from a phone app, with a free plan of 4 bookings a month | US only, its listed categories only, used from its own app | | UIRIX Personal AI Agent | Calls the office from its own number after your yes in ChatGPT or Claude, then reports back | Dentists, doctors, salons, vets and garages where a person answers | Talks with people only: no key presses, no waiting on hold. A phone number requires a saved payment card | Details for Google, Gemini and Juno come from Google's help pages and blog and from juno-ai.app, as of October 10, 2026. These services change often, so check each one before you rely on it. ## Set it up once, then ask for the appointment 1. Create your personal agent: In the UIRIX dashboard choose Create agent, then Personal AI Agent. It is ready in seconds, with no website. 2. Give it a phone number: On the agent page choose Get Number. Getting a number requires a saved payment card. Offices see this number when your assistant calls. 4. Ask for the appointment: Type, for example: "Call Dr. Alvarez's office at (212) 555-0136 and book a check-up next week, Tuesday or Thursday after 3." ChatGPT or Claude repeats the number, the task and the timing and asks for your yes, and the connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. Stay in the same chat to hear how it went. ## Booking appointments with AI: common questions Q: Can ChatGPT book a doctor appointment for me? A: Not by itself: as of October 2026, ChatGPT does not place phone calls on its own. Connect UIRIX and it can. Type "Call Dr. Patel's office and move my Thursday appointment to sometime next week" with the office number. ChatGPT repeats the number, the task and the timing and asks for your yes, your personal AI agent makes the call, and ChatGPT tells you what was agreed from the call transcript. Q: Can Claude call my dentist and book an appointment? A: Yes, through the UIRIX connector in claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude Code. Switch on Outbound calls when you connect; it is off by default. Claude confirms the number, the task and the timing with you, your personal AI agent calls the office, and Claude tells you the time it booked or the options it was offered. Q: Can an AI book a haircut for me? A: Yes, at salons and barbers that take bookings by phone. Try "Book me a haircut for next Tuesday afternoon" or "My barber only takes bookings by phone. Call and get me in Saturday morning." Your assistant offers your times, books one inside your window, and you get the time and the stylist's name. Q: What happens if the office answers with a phone menu? A: Your assistant talks with people; it cannot press keys or wait on hold. An automated menu usually ends the call early, and the call is reported back to you, not dialed again. Give it the office's direct number, or a number where a person picks up. Q: Will it share my medical information? A: It is instructed to give only the details your task needs, so keep the reason short, such as "a check-up" or "a cleaning". Calls are recorded by default, transcribed and summarized, and kept until you set deletion periods in Profile > Privacy, where you can also turn recording off. Do not put medical details you do not want stored in the task. Q: Will the office know it is an AI? A: When it calls a business for you, your assistant says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf, and it is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. It introduces itself as your assistant, never as you. Q: Can it reschedule or cancel an appointment? A: Yes. It gives your name and the current date and time, then books the new slot inside your window. Before it cancels, it asks whether a fee applies; if there is a fee your task did not allow, it does not cancel and tells you instead. Q: What does it cost? A: Free trial credit lets you create your personal agent with no credit card. Getting a phone number requires a saved payment card. Each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, plus a short summary, from your plan's monthly amount and then your prepaid wallet. Pay as you go starts at $10 a month for up to 5 agents; that fee counts toward your usage, and your first payment funds the wallet with $100. --- # AI That Calls for Quotes: Compare Prices From Local Shops and Contractors URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/price-quotes Updated: 2026-10-10 Yes, an AI can call businesses to get quotes for you. With the UIRIX connector, Claude or ChatGPT has your UIRIX personal agent call up to three local shops or contractors for the same job on one yes, with every number shown to you first, and then puts their answers side by side in the chat. You give it the numbers, or your chat app finds them with its own web search, and it does not agree to a price or book anything unless you allowed it. It talks with people and cannot press keys or wait on hold, so it works best where a person answers the phone. ## Quote requests that work today Brief it the way you would brief a person: the job, the businesses and what you want to know. These requests work today when you give the numbers, or let your chat app find them first: - "Call these three tile guys and ask what they would charge to regrout my shower and how soon they could start." - "Call these three shops and ask how much an oil change is for my 2019 Camry and whether they can do it today." - "Get me quotes for four new tires, size 225/65R17, installed, from these three shops." - "Call these HVAC companies and ask what they charge for an AC tune-up." - "Call these groomers and ask the price of a full groom for my 40-pound doodle." - "Call these assisted living places and ask if they have a room in March and the monthly cost." - "Call the apartments on Elm and ask if they have a 2-bedroom for November and what the rent is." What you can ask your assistant to do: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/what-to-ask ## What happens before and during the calls Before anything is dialed, your chat app is instructed to repeat the numbers, the question and the timing and to get your yes. One yes can cover up to three businesses for the same errand, with every number shown to you first, and the connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. When it calls a business for you, your assistant opens with its name and says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf. It is instructed to ask your exact question, note any conditions, such as "only until Friday" or "cash only", ask who it spoke with and read the answer back. It does not agree to a price, a deposit, a purchase or a contract unless your request allows it. If it reaches voicemail, it is instructed to leave one short message with the number to call back. When the calls end, your chat app puts the answers side by side, in a table if you ask for one. Each call is also transcribed and summarized, so you can check exactly what a business said before you choose. To see the results as they come in, stay in the same chat. ## What to give it first - Up to three businesses and their numbers. Paste the numbers you have, from a neighbor, a flyer or a review site, or ask your chat app to find the businesses with its own web search. You see every number before any call. - The details a shop will ask for: the year, make and model of the car, the tire size from the sidewall, the size of the job, your dog's breed and weight, or the month you need. - One question for all of them: the price, what it includes and the earliest date, for example. The same question to every business makes the answers easy to compare. - Your limits. A quote call collects answers. If it may also book or accept a price on the spot, say so and give a ceiling; otherwise it does not agree to a price, a deposit or a booking. - When to call: now, or a window of hours. A window follows the local time of the number being called. - A language, if another one helps: it can make the call in any of its 17 languages. - Words, not pictures: it cannot send photos, so describe the job. Never put passwords, PINs or card numbers in a task you give your assistant. ## What it cannot do yet - It talks with people; it cannot press keys or wait on hold. Automated phone menus usually end the call early, so it works best with local shops and contractors where a person answers the phone. It is not the right tool for banks, utilities, airlines, insurers or government lines. - It does not find businesses on its own. The numbers come from you or from your chat app's web search. - One yes covers up to three businesses for the same errand, so pick your best three. - It cannot ask you a question in the middle of a call. If a shop offers something else, it notes the offer and reports back; taking it is a new call and a new yes. - A call that reaches a phone menu, voicemail or silence is reported back to you; it is not dialed again automatically. A call lasts at most 10 minutes. - If nobody answers or the line is busy, it can try again, up to three calls in all, at least 30 minutes apart and only inside a window you set. Calls and retries are billed by usage. - A price by phone is what the business said on the call. A contractor may still want to see the job before giving a firm quote. ## When Google's "Have AI check pricing" is the better choice As of October 2026, Google Search can call several nearby businesses for you for free. You search for a service, such as "pet groomers near me", tap "Have AI check pricing" and answer a few questions. Google's AI then calls, says it is an automated system calling from Google for a user, and sends you the prices and availability by email or text, usually in about 30 minutes. It works in the US only, in English, for signed-in users 18 and over, for set business types such as auto repair, hair salons, pet groomers and home repair. Google's help page says it will not create a booking. If you are in the US, the job fits one of those business types and you only need prices, use Google: it is free and needs no setup. UIRIX costs money. It fits when you already have the numbers, when the business is not on Google's list, such as assisted living or an apartment building, when you want the answers in your Claude or ChatGPT chat, when the call should be in another of its 17 languages, or when you want the business you choose booked in a second call after your yes. Features and limits change, so check before you rely on them. ## Set it up once, then ask for quotes 1. Create your personal agent: In the UIRIX dashboard choose Create agent, then Personal AI Agent. It is ready in seconds, with no website. On the agent page choose Get Number; getting a number requires a saved payment card. 2. Connect Claude or ChatGPT: Add the UIRIX connector at https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp and sign in. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector, or use the Add UIRIX to Claude button on this page. In ChatGPT on the web, open chatgpt.com/plugins, select the plus button and choose Add custom MCP server. On the UIRIX permission screen, switch on Outbound calls; it is off by default. 3. Ask for the quotes: Describe the job and give up to three numbers, or ask your chat app to find the businesses first. Check the numbers, the question and the timing it repeats back, then give your yes. 4. Compare and choose: Your chat app puts the answers side by side. To book the one you pick, ask again: that is a new call and a new yes. ## Getting quotes with AI: common questions Q: Is there an AI that calls businesses to get quotes for me? A: Yes. With the UIRIX connector, Claude or ChatGPT can have your UIRIX personal agent call up to three shops or contractors for the same job on one yes, ask each one your question and put the answers side by side in your chat. In the US, Google Search also makes free quote calls for set business types, but it does not book. Q: Can ChatGPT call businesses for quotes? A: Not by itself: as of October 2026, ChatGPT does not place phone calls on its own. Add the UIRIX connector in ChatGPT on the web (chatgpt.com/plugins, the plus button, Add custom MCP server, with the server URL https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp), sign in and switch on Outbound calls. Then ask for your quotes: ChatGPT repeats the numbers and the question, and after your yes your personal agent makes the calls. Q: Can Claude call contractors and get quotes for me? A: Yes, through the UIRIX connector in claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude Code: Claude asks your UIRIX personal agent to make the calls. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp, or use the Add UIRIX to Claude button on this page. Sign in and switch on Outbound calls; it is off by default. Q: Where do the phone numbers come from? A: From you or from your chat app. Paste the numbers you have, or ask Claude or ChatGPT to find the businesses with its own web search. A business you saved before, such as "my mechanic", it finds by name. Either way, you see every number before any call; UIRIX does not search for businesses itself. Q: How many businesses can it call for one quote? A: Up to three for the same errand, on one yes, with every number shown to you first. Each one is a real call, billed by the AI voice usage it takes. Q: Will it agree to a price or book something without asking me? A: Not unless your request allows it. It does not agree to a price, a deposit, a purchase or a contract unless your task allows it, and it asks about fees before booking. On a quote call it collects the answers; booking the business you pick is a separate call that needs your yes. It can make mistakes, so read the call summary before you rely on a price. Q: Is Google's "Have AI check pricing" a better option? A: Sometimes. As of October 2026, Google Search calls several nearby businesses for free and sends you prices by email or text, usually in about 30 minutes, but only in the US, in English, for set business types, and it does not book. If that covers your job, use Google. UIRIX costs money, but it calls the businesses you choose, in any of its 17 languages, reports in your Claude or ChatGPT chat and can book your pick in a second call. --- # AI Call Screening With Messages: Know Who Called and Why URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/call-screening Updated: 2026-10-10 An AI phone assistant can answer your calls and take messages for you. When someone calls your UIRIX personal agent's number, it asks who is calling and why, takes a message, puts through only the people you chose (always, try first, or message only) and turns sales calls away politely. Forward the calls you do not answer on your mobile to it, and it takes messages for those too. Then type "who called me today?" in Claude or ChatGPT to see who called in the last 30 days and what they wanted. ## How it answers your calls Your personal agent has its own phone number, and calls reach it in two ways. Give the number to people who should reach you through your assistant, and set call forwarding on your mobile so the calls you are too busy for, or do not answer, go to it. In English it answers with "Hello, this is Mia, Dan's assistant. How can I help you?", using your assistant's name and your first name. Then it asks, one question at a time, who is calling and what it is about. It introduces itself as your assistant, never as you, and it is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. For a message, it is instructed to take the caller's name, what the call is about, how urgent it is, the best number to call back and a good time, and to repeat the essentials back. It is instructed not to give your mobile number or email to callers, and not to share your address or other personal details unless you marked them as shareable. ## Who gets through: a rule for each person Give each person you save one of three rules; anyone without a rule, and anyone not on your list, gets a message. Set the rules by typing them in Claude or ChatGPT, for example "If my kid's school calls, put them through. Everyone else, take a message." or "Always put my wife through. Anyone selling something, just take a message." A change applies from the next call. - Always put through: it puts them through to your phone at once, with no questions about the matter. Save their number and it greets them by name. - Try first: it asks what the call is about, then tries to put them through. - Message only: it takes a message. - Rules follow the number you saved: a caller who gives a name on your list but calls from another number is handled one step more carefully. - If you do not pick up when it puts someone through, it takes a message. - Sales calls, surveys and robocalls get one polite sentence, and the call ends. - When your carrier marks a call as forwarded from your phone, it takes a message instead of ringing you again, even for people you always put through. ## "Who called me?" Ask in Claude or ChatGPT Each message is saved as the summary of the call. Type a question in Claude or ChatGPT and your chat app reads the calls from the last 30 days: who called, what they wanted and the number to call back, newest first. A note of each call can also reach you by email or text, depending on your notification settings. To return a call, ask in the chat. After your yes, your assistant makes the call, or gets the person on the line for you: it checks it reached the right person and asks if it may put them through, and on their yes your phone rings for about 25 seconds. If you do not answer, or your voicemail picks up, they are told you are not available right now. Placing calls needs Outbound calls switched on when you connect; it is off by default. Your own part of a connected call is billed too. These requests work today: - "Who called me today?" - "That number called 3 times this morning. Who was it and what did they want?" - "Did anyone important call while I was in the meeting?" - "Any calls I need to return? Make me a list with what each one wanted." How the Claude and ChatGPT connector works: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/claude-chatgpt ## Recording, privacy and what it does not do - Calls are recorded by default, transcribed and summarized. Recordings, transcripts and summaries are deleted automatically after one year, unless you choose another period or to keep them in Profile > Privacy, where you can also turn recording off. - Your assistant can have the phone line announce the recording before it speaks: switch it on in Profile > Privacy, always or where the local rules call for it. - It answers its own number, not your mobile: calls reach it when you forward them or give out its number. - It is not a spam blocker: sales calls and robocalls that reach it get one polite sentence, and the call ends. - It knows a call was forwarded from your phone only when your carrier marks it that way. - There is no separate voicemail inbox: each message is the summary of the call, and Claude or ChatGPT can read the calls of the last 30 days. - It cannot check with you in the middle of a call: it either puts the caller through to your phone or takes a message. ## When your phone's built-in screening is enough As of October 2026, iPhone Call Screening answers calls from unknown numbers without ringing, asks for the caller's name and reason, then rings and shows you the answer, and Live Voicemail shows a transcript while a caller leaves a message. Pixel Call Screen answers, asks who is calling and why and shows a live transcript, and its automatic screening hangs up on calls it judges to be spam. Both are free, built into the phone and screen calls to your own number. Hold Assist on iPhone and Hold for Me on Pixel also wait on hold for you on calls you make, which UIRIX cannot do. If all you want is to stop unknown callers from ringing you, they are the better choice. UIRIX works on its own number instead. It screens the people who call it, follows a rule for each person, takes messages for the calls you forward to it from any phone that can forward calls and speaks 17 languages, and you can ask about the last 30 days of calls in Claude or ChatGPT. It can also place calls for you, which call screening on iPhone and Pixel does not do. Unlike the built-in features, it costs money. Everything your AI phone assistant does: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant ## iPhone, Pixel and UIRIX call screening compared (as of October 2026) | | iPhone Call Screening | Pixel Call Screen | UIRIX personal agent | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Price | Free, part of iOS | Free on Pixel phones | Pay as you go from $10 a month for up to 5 agents; calls billed by AI voice usage; a phone number requires a saved payment card | | Which calls | Unknown numbers calling your iPhone; contacts ring normally | Unknown and spam calls to your Pixel | Calls to its own number, and calls you forward to it from your phone | | Who gets through | You decide live, after the caller gives a name and a reason | You decide live, from a live transcript | Callers to its number: a rule for each person (always, try first, or message only). Gemini Call for Me, a separate early test on Pixel 11 phones in the US, places calls to businesses. Features, phones and regions change, so check before you rely on them. ## Set it up once, then let it take your calls 1. Create your personal agent: In the UIRIX dashboard choose Create agent, then Personal AI Agent. It is ready in seconds, with no website. 2. Give it a phone number: On the agent page choose Get Number. Getting a number requires a saved payment card. Numbers come from the countries listed there, such as the US, Canada, the UK and Israel, subject to availability. 3. Send calls to it: Set call forwarding on your mobile for the calls you are too busy for or do not answer, and give the number to people who should reach you through your assistant. 4. Connect Claude or ChatGPT and set your rules: Add the UIRIX connector at https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp and sign in. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector, or use the Add UIRIX to Claude button on this page. In ChatGPT on the web, open chatgpt.com/plugins, select the plus button and choose Add custom MCP server. Tell it who is always put through, who it should try first and who gets a message only, then ask "who called me today?" whenever you want your messages. ## AI call screening: common questions Q: Is there an AI phone assistant that answers my calls and takes messages? A: Yes. The UIRIX Personal AI Agent answers its own number and the calls you forward to it, asks who is calling and why, and takes a message with the number to call back. You read the messages by asking Claude or ChatGPT "who called me?", and a note of each call can also reach you by email or text, depending on your notification settings. Q: Can ChatGPT answer my phone calls? A: Not by itself. As of October 2026, ChatGPT has no feature that answers your phone; with 1-800-CHATGPT you call ChatGPT, not the other way around. With the UIRIX connector, your personal agent answers the calls to its number, and you ask ChatGPT "who called me?" to read the messages. Q: Can Claude tell me who called me? A: Yes, with the UIRIX connector in claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude Code. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp, then sign in and type "who called me today?". Claude reads the calls your assistant answered in the last 30 days: who called, what they wanted and the number to call back. Q: Does it answer my own mobile number? A: No. It answers its own number. Forward your mobile to it for the calls you do not answer, and give its number to people who should reach you through your assistant. When your carrier marks a call as forwarded from your phone, it takes a message instead of ringing you again. Q: Do callers know they are talking to an AI? A: It is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. It introduces itself as your assistant, never as you: in English its greeting is "Hello, this is Mia, Dan's assistant. How can I help you?", with your assistant's name and your first name. Q: How is this different from iPhone Call Screening or Pixel Call Screen? A: As of October 2026, both are free and built in: they screen unknown callers on your own number, and you decide live whether to pick up; Pixel can also hang up on spam by itself. Your UIRIX assistant works on its own number: it follows a rule for each person who calls it, takes messages for the calls you forward to it, speaks 17 languages and lets you ask about your calls in Claude or ChatGPT. It costs money; the built-in features do not. Q: Are my calls recorded? A: Yes, by default. Calls are recorded, transcribed and summarized. Recordings, transcripts and summaries are deleted automatically after one year, unless you choose another period or to keep them in Profile > Privacy, where you can also turn recording off. Your assistant can have the phone line announce the recording before it speaks: switch it on in Profile > Privacy, always or where the local rules call for it. Q: What does it cost? A: Free trial credit lets you create your personal agent with no credit card. Getting a phone number requires a saved payment card. Each call it answers is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, plus a short summary, from your plan's monthly amount and then your prepaid wallet. Pay as you go starts at $10 a month for up to 5 agents; that fee counts toward your usage, and your first payment funds the wallet with $100. --- # AI That Makes Phone Calls for You: The Options Compared (October 2026) URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-that-makes-phone-calls Updated: 2026-10-10 As of October 2026, ChatGPT and Claude do not place phone calls by themselves. Google Search can call some local businesses in the US to check prices for you, and Gemini can call businesses for you from Pixel 11 phones in the US, in an early test. Beyond that, apps and connectors such as UIRIX, ClawCall, Selectic, Pally and Voyp place calls to businesses for you. UIRIX fits when you want one personal assistant with its own phone number that makes calls for you and answers your calls, in 17 languages, run from Claude or ChatGPT. ## The short answer As of October 2026, neither OpenAI nor Anthropic publishes a feature that lets ChatGPT or Claude dial a phone number for you. ChatGPT can book a table at restaurants on OpenTable, Resy or Yelp right in the chat, with no call, and with 1-800-CHATGPT you call ChatGPT, not the other way around. Google goes further: Google Search calls local businesses in the US to check prices for you, and Gemini Call for Me calls businesses from Pixel 11 phones in the US. Beyond that, you add a calling service. Juno, Callio, Lucien and Genspark are apps you open. UIRIX, ClawCall, Selectic, Pally and Voyp also work from inside ChatGPT or Claude, so you can ask in the chat. Pine focuses on bills, cancellations and disputes, and Duckbill sends human operators instead of an AI voice. The options differ most on phone menus and hold, on where they can call, and on whether they also answer your calls. How to add UIRIX to Claude or ChatGPT: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/claude-chatgpt ## How they differ - Who dials: an AI voice in every option here that places calls, except Duckbill, where background-checked human operators make the calls. - From which number: Gemini calls from your own Pixel and number. ClawCall uses shared numbers, or a reserved number of your own from $8.99 a month. Genspark can show your number if you verify it by voice call; otherwise a virtual number shows. A UIRIX assistant calls from its own number, so that is the caller ID people see. - Phone menus and hold: Gemini, ClawCall, Selectic, Pally, Callio and Pine say they get through phone menus and wait on hold, and Duckbill's operators do. Voyp and Genspark say they handle menus. UIRIX cannot press keys or wait on hold, so it works best where a person answers. - Booking or information only: Google Search gathers prices and availability and does not book. ChatGPT books tables through OpenTable, Resy and Yelp without a call. Gemini, Juno, Callio, Pally, Selectic, Voyp and UIRIX can make a booking on the call. - Answering your calls: UIRIX answers calls to its own number, takes messages and puts your people through. ClawCall answers one reserved number on its $14.99 plan, and Selectic answers a forwarded business line on its business plans. The rest place calls only, or publish no answering feature. - Connecting you live: ClawCall calls you and joins you to the call if you say yes, Voyp transfers the call to your verified number, Gemini lets you tap Take over, and Pally connects you when the business needs you. UIRIX can call a person you name, check it reached them and, if they agree, ring your phone to connect you. It does not put you through to a front desk. - Where: Google Search, Gemini, ClawCall, Selectic, Juno and Callio call in the US only. Voyp lists 48 countries, Genspark says 40+ and Lucien calls worldwide in 32 languages. A UIRIX assistant gets its number from 29 countries listed in the dashboard, subject to availability, and speaks 17 languages. ## Which one fits - Free price checks from US businesses: Google Search, with "Have AI check pricing". It calls several places and sends you the answers, usually in about 30 minutes, but it does not book. - You have a Pixel 11 in the US: Gemini Call for Me. It calls from your own number, gets through phone menus and waits on hold. It needs a paid Google AI subscription and is still rolling out. - Phone menus and hold at a big company: ClawCall, Selectic or Callio for calls to US numbers, or Pine for bills, cancellations and disputes. - A person, not an AI, on hard calls such as appeals, refunds and disputes: Duckbill, whose human operators make the calls. Plans start at $49 a month. - Calls abroad or in many languages: Voyp (48 listed countries), Lucien (32 call languages, with a live translated transcript) or Genspark (40+ countries, with live translation). - Restaurant tables only: ChatGPT, if the restaurant is on OpenTable, Resy or Yelp, or Juno in the US, whose free plan covers 4 bookings a month. - A personal assistant with its own phone number that answers your calls, puts your people through, makes calls for you in 17 languages and runs from Claude or ChatGPT: UIRIX. It works best with people and local businesses where a person answers the phone. How the UIRIX AI phone assistant works: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant ## What UIRIX does not do Today the UIRIX assistant works best with people and local businesses where a person answers. Here is what it does not do. - It cannot press keys or wait on hold. Automated phone menus, hold music and long silences usually end the call within the first minute or two, and that call is reported back to you, not dialed again. It is not the tool for banks, utilities, airlines, insurers or government lines. - It does not look up new businesses by itself. It calls the people and businesses it already knows, a number you give it, or one your chat app looks up, and you see the number before it calls. - It puts through only the person you named, never a receptionist, a voicemail or a phone menu. - It cannot pay for things, and it does not agree to a price, a deposit or a purchase unless your task allows it. - It does not make recurring calls on one standing yes. Each errand needs your yes, and one yes can cover up to three businesses for the same errand, with every number shown to you first. - It does not announce that calls are recorded. Calls are recorded, transcribed and summarized by default and kept until you set deletion periods in Profile > Privacy, where you can also turn recording off. If your local law requires a recording notice, add one to its rules. - It is not set up from the chat. You create it in the UIRIX dashboard (Create agent, then Personal AI Agent) and get its number with Get Number on the agent page. - A call lasts at most 10 minutes, and it is not for emergencies: call 911 yourself. What you can ask it to do today: https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/what-to-ask ## The options side by side, as of October 10, 2026 | Option | How you ask | Calls businesses for you | Phone menus and hold | Answers your calls | Where it calls | Price (as published) | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | UIRIX Personal AI Agent | Type in Claude or ChatGPT (UIRIX connector) | Yes, and people you name: books, asks, reports back | No: cannot press keys or wait on hold | Yes, on its own number: screens, takes messages, puts your people through | Calls from its own number, which you get from 29 countries in the dashboard (subject to availability); 17 languages | Pay as you go from $10 a month (up to 5 agents), plus calls by usage; a number needs a saved card | | Google Search "Have AI check pricing" | Google Search or the Google app: tap Have AI check pricing, fill in a short form | Yes, several nearby businesses; prices and availability only, no booking | Not published | No | US only (not in 5 states), English, set business types | Free; higher limits on Google AI Pro and Ultra (not quantified) | | Gemini "Call for Me" (Pixel 11) | Gemini app on a Pixel 11: ask, review, tap Call for me | Yes: hours, quotes, availability; books and manages appointments and reservations | Yes | No (Pixel Call Screen is a separate feature) | US numbers only, from your own number; English; early, gradual rollout | Paid Google AI subscription (tiers not named); carrier rates apply | | ChatGPT on its own | Chat in ChatGPT | No; books tables through OpenTable, Resy and Yelp without a call | No | No | No calls. As of October 2026, OpenAI publishes no feature that lets ChatGPT place a phone call to a business or a person, and with 1-800-CHATGPT you call ChatGPT, not the other way around. ChatGPT can book a table at restaurants on OpenTable, Resy or Yelp right in the chat, with no call. To place calls from ChatGPT, add a calling connector: ClawCall is listed in ChatGPT's plugin directory, and UIRIX, Selectic and Pally connect as custom MCP servers. For UIRIX, open chatgpt.com/plugins in ChatGPT on the web, select + and add a custom MCP server with https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp, sign in and switch on Outbound calls on the permission screen (it is off by default). ChatGPT repeats the number, the task and the timing and asks for your yes, and your assistant calls from its own number. Q: Can Claude make phone calls? A: Not by itself. As of October 2026, Anthropic publishes no feature that lets Claude dial a phone number. Add a calling connector and Claude can have a call placed for you: UIRIX, ClawCall, Selectic, Pally, Voyp and Duckbill all offer one. For UIRIX, open Customize > Connectors in Claude, choose Add custom connector, paste https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp and sign in, then switch on Outbound calls on the permission screen (it is off by default). As of October 2026, Anthropic says the Claude Free plan allows one custom connector. Then ask, for example, "Call the garage and ask if my car is ready." Claude repeats the number, the task and the timing and asks for your yes, and the connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. Q: Which AI can call a restaurant for me? A: If the restaurant is on OpenTable, Resy or Yelp, ChatGPT can book the table in the chat without a call, and Google AI Mode finds open tables through booking partners; Google says it may phone a restaurant that has no online booking, in some markets. To have a restaurant phoned for you, Gemini Call for Me (Pixel 11, US), Juno and Callio (US) call restaurants, and Pally and Voyp handle bookings too. With UIRIX, type in Claude or ChatGPT: "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday under Cohen. If they're full, ask what times they have." It repeats the plan, calls after your yes and reports what was agreed from the call transcript. It works best when a person answers the restaurant's phone. Q: Is there a free AI that calls businesses? A: Yes, with limits. Google Search's "Have AI check pricing" is free in the US and gathers prices and availability without booking. Pally says it is free, with usage limits. Juno's free plan covers 4 bookings a month in the US, and ClawCall has a free trial of 30 calls with no card. Gemini Call for Me needs a paid Google AI subscription. UIRIX is not free: free trial credit lets you build and test an agent in chat and in the browser with no credit card, but real phone calls need a phone number, which requires a saved payment card. Pay as you go starts at $10 a month for up to 5 agents, and that fee counts toward your usage. Calls are billed by the AI voice usage they take, and usage beyond the monthly fee comes from a prepaid wallet, which your first payment funds with $100. Q: Can an AI call a business outside the US? A: Yes, but many options are US-only as of October 2026: Google Search, Gemini Call for Me, ClawCall, Selectic, Juno and Callio call in the US. Voyp lists 48 countries, Genspark says it calls in 40+ countries, and Lucien calls worldwide in 32 languages. UIRIX is not limited to US numbers: your assistant gets its own number from 29 countries listed in the dashboard, such as the US, Canada, the UK and Israel (subject to availability), calls from that number and speaks 17 languages. Q: Can an AI wait on hold for me? A: Some can. Gemini Call for Me, ClawCall, Selectic, Pally, Callio and Pine say they wait on hold, and Duckbill's human operators do it for you. On calls you make yourself, iPhone Hold Assist and Pixel Hold for Me wait on hold and alert you when someone comes back. UIRIX does not wait on hold today: hold music, repeated hold messages or long silence usually end its call within the first minute or two, so it works best where a person answers. Q: Can an AI answer my calls and take messages? A: Yes. On your own phone, iPhone Call Screening and Pixel Call Screen answer unknown callers for free and ask who is calling and why, and Pixel's Take a Message transcribes calls you miss; they do not call anyone for you. ClawCall answers one reserved number on its $14.99 plan. UIRIX answers calls to your assistant's own number, so you set your mobile to forward calls to it when you are busy or do not answer. It asks who is calling and why, takes a message and puts through only the people you chose. Ask Claude or ChatGPT "who called me?" to hear who called in the last 30 days and what they wanted. Q: Does the business know it is talking to an AI? A: Many of these services tell the business up front. Google Search's calls open by saying it is an automated system calling from Google for a user, and Gemini says it is an AI assistant from Google calling on a recorded line on your behalf. Juno and Lucien say they are AI at the start of each call, Voyp says it introduces itself as an AI, and Selectic's calls say they come from an AI assistant. When UIRIX calls a business for you, it says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf, and it is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks. With Duckbill, a person makes the call. --- # Connect your AI agent to the tools you already use URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations Updated: 2026-10-10 UIRIX AI agents connect to HubSpot CRM, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 Calendar, Zapier, Twilio. Anything else, a CRM, a help desk, a spreadsheet, connects through Zapier or through the Public API and its signed webhooks, which send conversations, summaries and call results to your own endpoint as they happen. You can also run your agents from Claude or ChatGPT through the UIRIX MCP connector. ## How integrations work inside a conversation Integrations are exposed to the agent as actions. When a caller asks for a meeting, the agent checks the connected calendar, offers free slots and books the one the caller picks, then confirms by e-mail or SMS if you enabled it. Leads, support tickets and orders the agent creates are e-mailed to the address you choose for each action, and are available through the API and webhooks, so your CRM or help desk receives them without manual copy-paste. ## Available today - Claude & ChatGPT: Manage your agents by chatting with Claude or ChatGPT through the UIRIX MCP connector. - Google Calendar: The agent checks your availability and books, moves or cancels meetings during the call or chat. - Microsoft 365 Calendar: The same booking flow on Outlook calendars, including online meeting links. - HubSpot lists: Import HubSpot contacts and lists straight into outbound calling campaigns. - Zapier webhooks: Push content into the agent knowledge from any Zap, and point a Public API webhook at Zapier to reach thousands of apps. - Twilio phone numbers: Buy a local number in the dashboard in about a minute with a saved payment card, then forward the business number you already have to it. - Public API & webhooks: REST API for agents, knowledge, calls and conversations, plus 8 signed webhook events for your CRM. ## Integration questions Q: Does UIRIX write leads into HubSpot automatically? A: Not directly. The HubSpot integration imports contacts and lists so the agent can call them. To send new leads or call results to HubSpot or any other CRM, use the signed webhooks of the Public API or a Zapier flow. Q: Can I keep my existing phone number? A: Yes. Get a UIRIX number in the dashboard (a saved payment card is required) and forward calls from your current business number to it, so callers keep dialing the number they already know. Q: Is there an API? A: Yes. The Public API v1 covers agents, prompts, knowledge, widget, voices, conversations, outbound calls and metrics, with OpenAPI documentation at https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/docs. Q: Do you support Salesforce, Slack or Shopify? A: Not as native integrations today. You can connect them through Zapier or the Public API webhooks. --- # An AI receptionist that books straight into Google Calendar URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/google-calendar Updated: 2026-10-10 Connect Google Calendar once with Google sign-in. Your UIRIX agent then checks availability in real time and schedules, reschedules or cancels meetings during phone calls, website chat and voice conversations, in any of its 17 languages. ## What the agent can do with your calendar - Check availability: Reads free and busy times before offering a slot. - Book meetings: Creates the event with the caller’s name and contact details. - Reschedule and cancel: Handles changes when a caller needs a different time. - Confirm: Sends a confirmation by e-mail or SMS when you enable those actions. ## Set it up in four steps 1. Open your agent’s Connectors: In the dashboard, choose the agent and connect Google Calendar with your Google account. 2. Turn on the appointment actions: Enable schedule, reschedule and cancel appointment in the agent’s capabilities. 3. Describe your booking rules: Tell the agent in plain language which meeting types you offer and how long they are. 4. Test a call: Call your agent, ask for a meeting and watch it appear in your calendar. ## Google Calendar questions Q: Which channels can book meetings? A: Inbound phone calls, the website chat widget and the voice-in-browser widget all use the same calendar actions. Q: Can the agent book into more than one calendar? A: Each agent connects to one calendar account. Use separate agents for separate calendars. Q: Do I need a paid Google Workspace plan? A: No. Any Google account with Google Calendar works. --- # Book Outlook meetings from every call and chat URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/microsoft-365 Updated: 2026-10-10 The Microsoft 365 Calendar integration lets a UIRIX agent read availability and schedule, move or cancel meetings in Outlook calendars during phone calls and website conversations, including online meeting links, after a one-time Microsoft sign-in. ## Built for Microsoft-based teams - Live availability: Offers only times that are free in the connected calendar. - Online meeting links: Creates meetings with an online meeting link for remote calls. - Changes handled: Reschedules or cancels when the customer asks. - Any language: Books meetings in the caller’s language: 17 languages out of the box. ## Microsoft 365 questions Q: Does it work with Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 business accounts? A: It works with Microsoft accounts that have an Outlook calendar and can sign in with Microsoft OAuth. Q: Can I use Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 on different agents? A: Yes. The calendar connection is per agent. --- # Turn HubSpot lists into AI outbound calling campaigns URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/hubspot Updated: 2026-10-10 The HubSpot integration imports contacts and lists from HubSpot CRM into UIRIX outbound campaigns, so an AI agent can call them for reminders, lead qualification, collections or event RSVPs. It reads from HubSpot; results flow back to your systems through webhooks or Zapier. ## Getting results back into HubSpot The integration reads contacts from HubSpot. To write call outcomes, new leads or summaries back to HubSpot, subscribe to the Public API webhooks (for example call.completed and summary.ready) or build a Zapier flow that updates the contact. ## What you get - List import: Choose any HubSpot list and import its contacts into a campaign. - AI calling: The agent calls each contact with the profile you set: sales, collections or events. - Voicemail and phone menu detection: Leaves a short message when it reaches voicemail, and ends calls that reach an automated phone menu. - Do-not-call and calling windows: Respects your do-not-call list and the hours you allow. ## HubSpot questions Q: Does UIRIX update HubSpot automatically? A: No, it imports contacts and lists. Use webhooks or Zapier to send outcomes back to HubSpot. Q: Which HubSpot plan do I need? A: Any HubSpot account with contacts and lists that you can connect with HubSpot OAuth. Q: Can the agent also receive calls from these contacts? A: Yes. The same agent can answer inbound calls on your number and remembers the last three calls with a returning caller. --- # Connect your AI agent to thousands of apps through Zapier URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/zapier Updated: 2026-10-10 Zapier connects to UIRIX in both directions. An incoming webhook on the agent adds content from any Zap to its knowledge. For the other direction, subscribe a Zapier Catch Hook URL to the Public API webhooks, conversation ended, summary ready, call completed, and Zapier passes them to a CRM, a spreadsheet, Slack or thousands of other apps. ## Two directions - Incoming webhooks: A Zap posts content (a new FAQ, a price change) and the agent learns it. - Events out: Subscribe a Zapier Catch Hook to the Public API webhooks and route conversations, summaries and call results anywhere. ## Zapier questions Q: Is there an official UIRIX app in the Zapier directory? A: Not yet. You connect with Zapier’s Webhooks by Zapier steps using the URLs from the agent’s Zapier connector. Q: Which events can I send to Zapier? A: The Public API webhooks: conversation.started, conversation.ended, conversation.escalated, summary.ready, outcome.created, call.completed, call.failed and call.no_answer. Point the webhook at your Zapier Catch Hook URL. --- # A real phone number for your AI agent in about a minute URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/twilio Updated: 2026-10-10 UIRIX runs phone calls on Twilio. You buy a number inside the UIRIX dashboard with a saved payment card, no Twilio account needed, and can forward your existing business number to it. The same number handles inbound calls and outbound campaigns. Calls are recorded by default, transcribed and summarized. ## Phone features - Buy a number in the dashboard: Choose a local number; a saved payment card is required. - Forward your number: Keep your existing number and forward calls to the agent. - Live transfer: The agent hands the call to a person when the caller needs one. - Recordings and summaries: Calls are recorded by default, transcribed and summarized, and a summary can be e-mailed to you. ## Phone number questions Q: Do I need my own Twilio account? A: No. Numbers are bought and managed inside the UIRIX dashboard. A saved payment card is required to buy a number. Q: Which countries are supported? A: Numbers are available in the countries listed in the dashboard, such as the US, Canada, the UK and Israel, subject to availability. Callers can speak any of the agent’s languages. --- # Manage your AI voice agents from Claude or ChatGPT URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/claude-chatgpt Updated: 2026-10-10 UIRIX is an MCP connector for Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code) and ChatGPT. Add it with one server URL, https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp, sign in to your UIRIX account and approve what the assistant may do. Then manage your AI agents by chatting: 85 tools cover agents, knowledge, prompts, conversations, calls, webhooks and usage. With a Personal AI Agent and Outbound calls switched on, you can also ask Claude or ChatGPT to make phone calls for you. ## Phone calls from Claude or ChatGPT With a UIRIX Personal AI Agent, you can ask Claude or ChatGPT to make a phone call for you. The agent has its own phone number and calls people and local businesses: it books a table, moves an appointment or asks for a price, then reports what was agreed from the call transcript. When it calls a business for you, it says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf. To set it up, create the agent in the UIRIX dashboard (Create agent, then Personal AI Agent), give it a phone number on the agent page with Get Number (a saved payment card is required), and switch on Outbound calls when you connect UIRIX to Claude or ChatGPT. Before it calls, your chat app is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to get your yes, and the connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. The agent talks with people: it cannot press keys or wait on hold, so it works best where a person answers the phone. Each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes. Read the guide: Can Claude make phone calls?: https://www.uirix.com/en/blog/can-claude-make-phone-calls ## What you can do from the chat - Edit instructions and greetings: Change how the agent speaks, with versions you can roll back. - Train the knowledge: Add pages and documents, then rebuild the agent. - Read results: Leads, conversations, summaries, usage and metrics. - Place calls: Start outbound calls and manage the do-not-call list, once you switch on Outbound calls when you connect. - Your personal AI agent: Ask your personal assistant to call people and local businesses for you (with Outbound calls on), see who called and what they wanted, and teach it about you. ## Connect in two minutes 1. Add the connector: Claude: select Add UIRIX to Claude at the top of this page, which opens Claude’s Add custom connector dialog with the name and URL filled in, or open Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop. ChatGPT, on the web: open chatgpt.com/plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server. 2. Paste the server URL: https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp (already filled in if you used the button). No client ID or secret is needed: in Claude, leave the OAuth fields empty and select Add; in ChatGPT, choose OAuth, accept the warning, select Create as a plugin and install it. 3. Sign in and approve: Log in to UIRIX and choose what the assistant may do on your account. To let it place calls, switch on Outbound calls; it is off by default. 4. Type “uirix”: In Claude, check that UIRIX is on under + > Connectors in the message box; in ChatGPT, type @ and pick UIRIX. Then type “uirix”: the assistant shows a numbered menu of your agents and everything you can do with each one. ## Connector questions Q: Can Claude or ChatGPT make phone calls with UIRIX? A: Yes, through a UIRIX Personal AI Agent with its own phone number. Create it in the UIRIX dashboard, give it a number (a saved payment card is required) and switch on Outbound calls when you connect. Then ask, for example, “Call Luigi’s and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday” and give it the number. Your chat app is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to get your yes; the agent calls from its own number and reports what was agreed. It works best where a person answers the phone. Our guide “Can Claude make phone calls?” walks through each step. Q: Will it spend money without asking? A: Building or rebuilding an agent, refreshing its knowledge and placing a call cost money. They are marked as billed, the assistant is instructed to ask you first, and the connector refuses them unless they are marked as approved. Reading results is free. Q: Can the assistant delete my agents or data? A: It cannot delete your agents, conversations, recordings or account. Two things can be taken away, and neither can be undone: a document in an agent’s knowledge and items in your personal profile. The assistant is instructed to name what it will remove and get your yes first. Q: Which Claude plan do I need? A: Any of them. As of October 2026, Anthropic says custom connectors work on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans; the Free plan allows one custom connector, and paid plans can add more. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds UIRIX for the organization under Organization settings > Connectors, and each member then connects it under Customize > Connectors. Q: Is UIRIX in the Claude connectors directory? A: Not yet. UIRIX was submitted to the Claude connectors directory in October 2026 and, as of October 10, 2026, is not listed there. Until it is, add it as a custom connector with the Add UIRIX to Claude button or under Customize > Connectors. It is not in the ChatGPT plugin directory either: in ChatGPT, add it as a custom MCP server. Q: Does it work in Claude Desktop, Claude Code and the Claude mobile app? A: Yes. In Claude Desktop, open Customize > Connectors and add it as you would on the web. A connector you add on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop also works in the Claude app on your phone. Claude Code signed in with your claude.ai account sees it too; otherwise run claude mcp add --transport http uirix https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp, then type /mcp to sign in. Q: Can I add it in ChatGPT on any plan? A: It depends on your ChatGPT account. As of October 2026, OpenAI says eligible users can add a custom MCP server in ChatGPT on the web. If you do not see the option, your plan may not include it, and in a company workspace an admin may need to allow custom MCP servers first. --- # The AI voice agent API for phone, chat and voice URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/developers Updated: 2026-10-10 The UIRIX Public API v1 is a REST API with bearer-key authentication, per-key scopes, rate limits and an audit log. It builds AI agents from a website URL, edits their prompts, knowledge, widget and voice, places outbound calls, runs chats, and returns transcripts, recordings and structured AI summaries. 8 webhook events are signed with HMAC and can be replayed. ## A first call in one minute Create a key in the dashboard under Profile → API Keys, then: ``` export B="https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1" export A="Authorization: Bearer uirix_sk_live_…" # your accounts and agents curl -s -H "$A" "$B/accounts" curl -s -H "$A" "$B/accounts/acc_…/agents" # the last five conversations with their summaries curl -s -H "$A" "$B/conversations?limit=5" ``` ## Built to be safe to automate - Per-key scopes, IP allow-list, key rotation and a 12-month audit log. - Agents, conversations and recordings cannot be deleted through the API. Taking something away is an explicit POST action, such as removing a knowledge document or personal profile items, and DELETE only cancels a call that has not been dialed or revokes a key. - Card numbers are masked in stored transcripts of website chats, browser voice and inbound calls on OpenAI voices. - OpenAPI 3.1 description for code generation and testing. ## What you can build - Agents from a URL: POST a website address; the platform crawls it, writes the knowledge, greeting and instructions, and returns a ready agent. - Outbound calls: Place AI calls one by one or in bulk, with do-not-call checks, calling windows and retries. - Chat via API: Run a conversation with your agent from your own app, then end it and get a summary. - Transcripts and summaries: Full transcripts, recordings and structured summaries: intent, outcome, sentiment and handoff. - Signed webhooks: conversation.started / ended / escalated, summary.ready, outcome.created, call.completed / failed / no_answer: HMAC-signed, replayable. - Metrics and usage: Conversation metrics, leads created, usage and balance per account. ## Developer questions Q: Where is the reference? A: The full reference and OpenAPI file are served by the API itself: https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/docs and https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/openapi.yaml. Q: How do I authenticate? A: With a bearer key (uirix_sk_live_…) created in the dashboard under Profile → API Keys. Each key carries its own scopes. Q: Can I send leads to my CRM? A: Yes. Subscribe your endpoint (or a Zapier Catch Hook) to the webhooks and write the data into your CRM when conversation.ended or summary.ready arrives. Q: Is the API billed separately? A: No. API conversations and calls are billed like the same conversations in the dashboard. Q: Is there an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT? A: Yes. The UIRIX MCP server at https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp uses OAuth sign-in with your UIRIX account and offers 85 tools built on this same API. A server-to-server integration keeps using an API key. --- # Comparing AI voice agent platforms URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives Updated: 2026-09-30 UIRIX AI is a no-code AI agent for small and mid-size businesses: one agent built from your website answers calls, runs outbound campaigns and chats on your site, from $49/month or pay as you go. Developer platforms (Retell, Vapi, Bland) give more low-level control; answering services (Smith.ai) add human receptionists; enterprise platforms (Synthflow) add certifications and dedicated engineers. ## Synthflow Alternative for Small Businesses Consider UIRIX AI instead of Synthflow if you are a small or mid-size business that wants a published monthly price (from $49) rather than an enterprise contract, which Synthflow's pricing page lists from $30,000 a year. UIRIX builds the agent from your website URL, answers calls, runs outbound campaigns and adds chat and voice widgets to your site. Read: Synthflow Alternative for Small Businesses: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/synthflow ## Air AI Alternative with Published Pricing Consider UIRIX AI instead of Air AI if you want an AI phone agent you can build and test yourself before paying: free trial credit to try it in chat and in the browser with no credit card, published plans from $49 a month, and no setup fees. As of September 2026 we could not find a public price list or self-serve sign-up for Air AI. Read: Air AI Alternative with Published Pricing: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/air-ai ## Retell AI Alternatives for Non-Developers Consider UIRIX AI instead of Retell AI if you want a flat monthly plan with calls included rather than adding up per-minute charges for voice infrastructure, the language model, speech and telephony. UIRIX builds the agent from your website URL without code, and the same agent answers your phone, website chat and in-browser voice. Read: Retell AI Alternatives for Non-Developers: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/retell ## Vapi Alternative Without the Developer Work Consider UIRIX AI instead of Vapi if nobody on your team wants to pick transcription, model and voice providers or write code. Vapi charges a $0.05 per-minute platform fee plus provider costs. UIRIX plans start at $49 a month with the voice engine, the model and the knowledge base included, the monthly price counts toward your usage, and the agent is built from your website URL. Read: Vapi Alternative Without the Developer Work: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/vapi ## Bland AI Alternative for Small Businesses Consider UIRIX AI instead of Bland AI if your call volume is modest and you want a monthly plan with calls included, not a per-minute rate ($0.12 to $0.14 on Bland) or a $299 platform fee. UIRIX builds the agent from your website URL and adds chat and voice widgets for your site in the same setup. Read: Bland AI Alternative for Small Businesses: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/bland-ai ## Smith.ai Alternative: AI Agent on a Monthly Plan Consider UIRIX AI instead of Smith.ai if you want an AI-only agent rather than per-call answering with human backup. Smith.ai AI calls start at about $1.60 each. UIRIX Starter is $49 a month for one agent, the $49 counts toward your usage, and it includes 17 languages and chat and voice widgets for your website. Read: Smith.ai Alternative: AI Agent on a Monthly Plan: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/smith-ai --- # A Synthflow alternative with a price you can see before you sign URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/synthflow Updated: 2026-09-30 Consider UIRIX AI instead of Synthflow if you are a small or mid-size business that wants a published monthly price (from $49) rather than an enterprise contract, which Synthflow's pricing page lists from $30,000 a year. UIRIX builds the agent from your website URL, answers calls, runs outbound campaigns and adds chat and voice widgets to your site. ## When Synthflow is the better choice Synthflow has moved decisively upmarket. Its pricing page describes custom-scoped enterprise contracts starting at $30,000 a year, with SLAs, implementation support and forward-deployed engineers. If you run a contact center, a BPO or a large support operation, that model can make sense: you get a vendor that helps design, test and launch the agents with you. Synthflow is also the stronger pick when your security team requires formal certifications. Its site lists SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR and ISO 27001, plus EU and US hosting options. UIRIX AI is a smaller, newer company and does not hold these certifications today, so regulated healthcare or payments teams should weigh that honestly. - You need to plug voice agents into an enterprise PBX such as Cisco, Avaya or Genesys, or bring your own carrier over SIP. - You want a very large integration catalog (Synthflow lists 200+ integrations, including Salesforce). - You handle high call volumes and prefer a negotiated contract with an SLA over a self-serve plan. ## When UIRIX AI fits better UIRIX AI is aimed at owners and small teams who want to start without a sales call. You paste your website address, the agent reads your pages and drafts its own knowledge, greeting and instructions, and you can test it the same day. There are no setup fees, and the trial credit needs no credit card. One agent covers several channels at once: inbound calls, outbound calling campaigns, a chat widget and a voice-in-browser widget for your website, and a demo page that shows the agent on top of your own site. That makes it easy to show the result to a partner or a client before you connect a real phone number. - Published plans: Starter $49/month (1 agent, about 100 inbound and 100 outbound calls included), Pro $99/month (3 agents), Business $299/month (10 agents). - Pay-as-you-go option: $2 per AI agent per month in packs of 5 (from $10/month), then a prepaid wallet (first deposit $100) for usage beyond the monthly amount. - 21 inbound actions, including leads, support tickets, orders, callbacks, appointments in Google Calendar or Microsoft 365, and live transfer to a person. ## How to switch from Synthflow Start by exporting the prompts, FAQs and call flows you already wrote in Synthflow. In UIRIX you can upload PDF or DOCX files next to your website crawl, and mark a document "keep as is" when the agent must quote it word for word, such as a cancellation policy or a price list. Run both agents side by side for a week: forward a secondary number to UIRIX, compare the transcripts and post-call summary e-mails, and move your main number over only when you are happy with the answers. ## What you get with UIRIX AI - Built from your website: The agent crawls your site, reads your PDFs and DOCX files, and can search your own site during a conversation. - Inbound and outbound: Answer calls 24/7 and run outbound campaigns with voicemail/IVR detection, a do-not-call list, calling windows and retries. - Website chat and voice: A chat widget and a voice-in-browser widget with live captions and an "AI View" side panel. - 40 voices, 17 languages: OpenAI Realtime and Google Gemini Live voices; 17 languages out of the box and about 70 with Gemini voices. ## Synthflow vs UIRIX AI at a glance | | Synthflow | UIRIX AI | | --- | --- | --- | | Who it is for | Enterprises, contact centers and BPOs with high-volume phone operations | Small and mid-size businesses that want one agent for phone, chat and website voice | | Setup | No-code Flow Designer, plus implementation support and forward-deployed engineers | No-code: paste your website URL and the agent drafts its knowledge, greeting and instructions | | Pricing model | Custom enterprise contracts, listed as starting at $30,000 per year | Monthly plans from $49 (Starter), $99 (Pro), $299 (Business), or pay-as-you-go from $10/month; no setup fees | | Free trial | Homepage says you can start building for free; production pricing is by contract | Free trial credit to build and test your agent, no credit card required; a phone number requires a saved payment card | | Phone numbers | In-house telephony, or bring your own carrier via SIP trunks | Buy a Twilio number in the dashboard, or forward your existing number | | Website chat and voice widget | Focus is phone operations | Chat widget and voice-in-browser widget with live captions included | | Languages | Multilingual; no language count published | 17 languages out of the box, about 70 with Gemini voices; 40 voices | | Outbound campaigns | Yes, for high-volume operations | Yes: sales, collections and event (RSVP) profiles, voicemail/IVR detection, do-not-call list, retries | | API and integrations | 200+ integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zapier and enterprise PBX systems | Public API v1 with signed webhooks; HubSpot list import, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Zapier webhooks, Twilio | Synthflow details come from synthflow.ai/pricing and synthflow.ai as of September 2026. Plans change often, so confirm current terms with each vendor before you buy. ## Move from Synthflow to UIRIX AI in four steps 1. Paste your URL: Enter your website address. UIRIX crawls it and builds the knowledge, greeting and instructions; add your Synthflow scripts as documents. 2. Pick a voice: Choose from 40 OpenAI and Google Gemini voices and set the agent language. 3. Connect a number or forward yours: Buy a Twilio number in the dashboard, or forward the number you use today, so callers see no change. 4. Test and go live: Call the agent, try the website widgets and the demo page, review transcripts, then switch your main traffic. ## Synthflow alternative: common questions Q: Does Synthflow still have self-serve plans? A: As of September 2026, Synthflow's pricing page lists enterprise contracts starting at $30,000 a year and asks prospects to talk to sales. Its homepage still says you can start building for free. Check with Synthflow for the current terms. Q: How much does UIRIX AI cost compared with Synthflow? A: UIRIX plans are published: Starter is $49 a month with about 100 inbound and 100 outbound calls, Pro is $99 for 3 agents and Business is $299 for 10 agents. Pay-as-you-go starts at $10/month ($2 per AI agent) with a prepaid wallet. Q: Is UIRIX AI HIPAA or SOC 2 certified? A: No. UIRIX does not hold HIPAA, SOC 2 or ISO certifications and does not sign BAAs. If you need those, an enterprise vendor such as Synthflow is the safer choice. Q: Can I keep my current phone number? A: Yes. You can forward your existing number to the UIRIX agent, or buy a new Twilio number directly in the dashboard. Q: Can UIRIX run outbound calls like Synthflow? A: Yes. Outbound campaigns support sales, collections and event (RSVP) profiles, voicemail and IVR detection, a do-not-call list, calling windows, retries and HubSpot list import. Q: Does UIRIX have an API? A: Yes. Public API v1 manages agents, calls and conversations, with signed webhooks for 8 events. OpenAPI docs are at dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/docs. --- # An Air AI alternative you can try before you pay URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/air-ai Updated: 2026-10-10 Consider UIRIX AI instead of Air AI if you want an AI phone agent you can build and test yourself before paying: free trial credit to try it in chat and in the browser with no credit card, published plans from $49 a month, and no setup fees. According to the FTC, the case concerned business coaching materials, a suite of services sold as the "Air AI Access Card," and licenses to resell Air AI services to small businesses and entrepreneurs. On March 24, 2026, the FTC announced a proposed settlement. Under the order, Air AI, related companies and its owners are banned from selling or marketing any business opportunity, from making misrepresentations while telemarketing, and from making earnings claims without adequate substantiation or disclosure. The order includes an $18 million monetary judgment, mostly suspended based on inability to pay, with $50,000 to be paid to the FTC for consumer relief. The FTC describes the charges as allegations, and stipulated orders take effect when approved by the court. Read the FTC announcements linked in the table note for the full text. ## When Air AI may still make sense If you already use Air AI for outbound sales, your contract is working, and you are satisfied with the terms, there may be no reason to move right away. Air AI was widely reviewed for long-form outbound qualification calls, and a working setup has value. Before renewing, read your contract, refund and cancellation terms carefully, and make sure you can export your call data and keep your phone numbers. Independent reviews in 2026 describe Air AI pricing as opaque and changing, so if you evaluate it, ask for a written quote that lists every fee. ## When UIRIX AI fits better UIRIX AI is built for businesses that want to see exactly what they pay for. Plans are listed on the pricing page, billed monthly, and the trial credit lets you hear your own agent in the browser before you spend anything. UIRIX is a smaller, newer company than many voice AI vendors and does not hold HIPAA, SOC 2 or ISO certifications, so we try to be clear about what it does and does not do. - Outbound campaigns with sales, collections and event (RSVP) profiles, voicemail/IVR detection, a do-not-call list, calling windows and retries. - Import a HubSpot list and call it; results come back as leads, callbacks and appointments. - The same agent also answers inbound calls and your website chat and voice widgets. - Pricing: Starter $49/month (1 agent), Pro $99 (3 agents), Business $299 (10 agents), or pay-as-you-go from $10/month. The monthly price counts toward your usage, and each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes. ## What you get with UIRIX AI - Outbound calling: 34 outbound tools: book meetings, confirm RSVPs, follow up on collections, schedule callbacks and log outcomes. - Inbound answering: 21 inbound actions, including leads, support tickets, orders, appointments and live transfer to a person. - Records you can check: Recordings (on by default), transcripts and a summary e-mail after calls, with card numbers masked in the transcripts of inbound calls on OpenAI voices. - Visible pricing: Monthly plans or a prepaid wallet. Usage beyond the plan is paid from the wallet, so there are no surprise invoices. ## Air AI vs UIRIX AI at a glance | | Air AI | UIRIX AI | | --- | --- | --- | | Who it is for | Historically sales teams running long outbound qualification calls | Small and mid-size businesses that want inbound, outbound and website channels in one agent | | Setup | Sales-led; no current public self-serve sign-up found | Self-serve and no-code: paste your website URL and the agent is drafted in minutes | | Pricing model | No current public price list found; reviews describe pricing as opaque | Published plans: $49, $99 and $299 per month, or pay-as-you-go from $10/month; no setup fees | | Free trial | None found | Free trial credit to build and test your agent, no credit card required; a phone number requires a saved payment card | | Phone numbers | Not publicly documented today | Buy a Twilio number in the dashboard with a saved payment card, and forward your existing number to it | | Website chat and voice widget | Not publicly documented today | Chat widget and voice-in-browser widget with live captions | | Languages | Not publicly documented today | 17 languages out of the box, about 70 with Gemini voices | | Outbound campaigns | Its best-known use case | Yes: profiles, voicemail/IVR detection, do-not-call list, calling windows, retries, HubSpot list import | | API and integrations | Not publicly documented today | Public API v1 with 8 signed webhook events; HubSpot, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Zapier, Twilio | Sources, as of September 2026: FTC press releases of August 25, 2025 (ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2025/08/ftc-sues-stop-air-ai-using-deceptive-claims-about-business-growth-earnings-potential-refund) and March 24, 2026 (ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2026/03/air-ai-its-owners-will-be-banned-marketing-business-opportunities-settle-ftc-charges-company-misled); open.cx Air AI review (updated May 2026). Pick a voice: Choose one of 40 OpenAI and Google Gemini voices and the language your callers speak. 3. Get a number and forward yours: Buy a number in the dashboard with a saved payment card. It places your outbound campaigns, and you can forward your existing inbound number to it. 4. Test and go live: Call a small list first, read the transcripts and summaries, then launch the full campaign. ## Air AI alternative: common questions Q: What did the FTC announce about Air AI? A: In August 2025 the FTC sued Air AI, alleging deceptive earnings and refund claims. In March 2026 it announced a proposed settlement banning the company and its owners from marketing business opportunities, with an $18 million judgment mostly suspended and $50,000 for consumer relief. Q: Is Air AI still available? A: We could not confirm it. As of September 2026 we found no public price list or self-serve sign-up for Air AI phone agents, and the air.ai website showed an unrelated product. Contact the company directly if you are a customer. Q: Does UIRIX AI sell business opportunities or reseller licenses? A: No. UIRIX AI sells software subscriptions for AI agents: monthly plans or pay-as-you-go usage. We do not promise earnings. Q: Can UIRIX make outbound sales calls? A: Yes. Outbound campaigns include sales, collections and event profiles, with voicemail and IVR detection, a do-not-call list, calling windows and automatic retries. Q: How much does UIRIX AI cost? A: Starter is $49 a month for 1 agent, Pro is $99 for 3 agents and Business is $299 for 10 agents. Pay-as-you-go starts at $10/month. The monthly price counts toward your usage, each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, and usage beyond the plan is paid from a prepaid wallet. Q: Do I need a developer to switch? A: No. You build the agent from your website URL in the dashboard, pick a voice and connect a number. Developers can use Public API v1 and signed webhooks later if they want to. --- # A Retell AI alternative for teams without a developer URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/retell Updated: 2026-09-30 Consider UIRIX AI instead of Retell AI if you want a flat monthly plan with calls included rather than adding up per-minute charges for voice infrastructure, the language model, speech and telephony. UIRIX builds the agent from your website URL without code, and the same agent answers your phone, website chat and in-browser voice. ## When Retell AI is the better choice Retell AI is a strong platform, and for some teams it is the better fit. It offers a drag-and-drop conversation flow builder alongside full APIs and SDKs, so a developer can control every step of a call. You choose the language model per agent, connect your own telephony through Twilio, Vonage or SIP, and scale to high volumes. Its pricing page lists voice agents at about $0.07 to $0.31 per minute depending on the configuration, with $10 of free credit to start. Retell also covers more ground on compliance and languages. It lists SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA with a BAA, GDPR and ISO 27001, and says it supports 55 languages. UIRIX AI is a smaller, newer company without those certifications. - You have an engineering team and want to pick the LLM, voice and telephony provider for each agent. - You need a signed BAA or SOC 2 report for your security review. - You run very high call volumes, where fine-tuning per-minute cost matters more than a simple bill. ## When UIRIX AI fits better Per-minute pricing is fair, but it is hard to predict. On Retell, a call's cost combines voice infrastructure ($0.055 per minute), the language model, text-to-speech and telephony, plus monthly fees for phone numbers ($2) and extra concurrency. UIRIX plans bundle this: Starter is $49 a month with about 100 inbound and 100 outbound calls included, and usage beyond the plan is paid from a prepaid wallet you control. UIRIX also asks less of you at setup. Instead of designing a conversation flow node by node, you paste your website address and the agent drafts its knowledge, greeting and instructions. You then refine them in plain language. The website chat widget, the voice-in-browser widget with live captions, and a demo page that shows the agent on your own site come with every agent. - Returning-caller memory: the agent sees the summaries of the caller's last 3 calls. - "Keep as is" documents that the agent quotes word for word, such as policies and price lists. - Appointments in Google Calendar or Microsoft 365, and live transfer to a person during the call. ## How to switch from Retell AI Copy your Retell prompt and knowledge base files into UIRIX as documents, then let the website crawl fill in the rest. If you used Retell custom functions to create leads or book meetings, check the list of 21 built-in inbound actions first; most common flows are already there, and Zapier webhooks cover the rest. If you connected Twilio numbers to Retell, you can forward them to a new UIRIX number while you test. ## What you get with UIRIX AI - Agent drafted from your site: Crawl your website, add PDF or DOCX files, and get a working agent in minutes instead of building a flow by hand. - Website widgets included: A chat widget and a voice-in-browser widget with live captions and an "AI View" side panel. - Two voice engines: OpenAI Realtime and Google Gemini Live, with 40 voices across 17 built-in languages, about 70 with Gemini. - An API when you need it: Public API v1 with signed webhooks for 8 events and OpenAPI docs, for teams that want to automate later. ## Retell AI vs UIRIX AI at a glance | | Retell AI | UIRIX AI | | --- | --- | --- | | Who it is for | Developers and mid-market to enterprise teams automating high-volume calls | Small and mid-size businesses without a dedicated developer | | Setup | Drag-and-drop conversation flows plus APIs and SDKs | No-code: paste your website URL; the agent drafts its knowledge, greeting and instructions | | Pricing model | Per minute, about $0.07 to $0.31 depending on model, voice and telephony; enterprise plans custom | Monthly plans: Starter $49, Pro $99, Business $299, or pay-as-you-go from $10/month with a prepaid wallet | | Free trial | $10 in free credits | Free trial credit to build and test your agent, no credit card required; a phone number requires a saved payment card | | Phone numbers | $2 per month per number; Twilio, Vonage or SIP connections | Buy a Twilio number in the dashboard or forward your existing number | | Website chat and voice widget | Web and in-app chat supported, per Retell | Chat widget and voice-in-browser widget with live captions, plus a demo page on your own site | | Languages | 55 languages, per Retell | 17 languages out of the box, about 70 with Gemini voices | | Outbound campaigns | Batch outbound with scheduling, pacing, retries and voicemail handling | Campaigns with sales, collections and RSVP profiles, voicemail/IVR detection, do-not-call list, calling windows | | API and integrations | Full API and SDKs; Twilio, Vonage, HubSpot, Make, n8n, GoHighLevel | Public API v1 and signed webhooks; HubSpot list import, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Zapier, Twilio | Retell AI details come from retellai.com/pricing, retellai.com and the Retell language support blog and docs (docs.retellai.com/build/language-support), as of September 2026. Prices change often, so confirm with each vendor before you buy. ## Move from Retell AI to UIRIX AI in four steps 1. Paste your URL: UIRIX crawls your site and drafts the agent. Upload your Retell prompt and knowledge files as documents. 2. Pick a voice: Choose from 40 OpenAI and Gemini voices and set the language. 3. Connect a number or forward yours: Buy a number in the dashboard, or forward the number your Retell agent answers today. 4. Test and go live: Place test calls, compare transcripts with your Retell calls, then move your traffic. ## Retell AI alternatives: common questions Q: How is Retell AI priced? A: Retell's pricing page lists voice agents at about $0.07 to $0.31 per minute, made up of voice infrastructure, the language model, text-to-speech and telephony, plus $2 a month per phone number. New accounts get $10 in free credits. Q: Is UIRIX AI cheaper than Retell AI? A: It depends on your volume. UIRIX Starter is $49 a month with about 100 inbound and 100 outbound calls included. For very high volumes with a developer tuning costs, per-minute pricing can work out lower. Try both on real calls. Q: Does UIRIX AI need coding? A: No. You build the agent from your website URL in the dashboard. Public API v1 is there if you want to automate later. Q: Does UIRIX support as many languages as Retell? A: Not quite. UIRIX supports 17 languages out of the box and about 70 with Google Gemini voices. Retell says it supports 55 languages. Q: Is UIRIX HIPAA compliant like Retell? A: No. UIRIX does not hold HIPAA, SOC 2 or ISO certifications and does not sign BAAs. If you need them, Retell is the better fit. Q: Can I use my own Twilio number with UIRIX? A: You can forward your existing number to the agent, or buy a Twilio number directly in the UIRIX dashboard. --- # A Vapi alternative for businesses, not just builders URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/vapi Updated: 2026-10-10 Consider UIRIX AI instead of Vapi if nobody on your team wants to pick transcription, model and voice providers or write code. UIRIX plans start at $49 a month with the voice engine, the model and the knowledge base included, the monthly price counts toward your usage, and the agent is built from your website URL. ## When Vapi is the better choice Vapi describes itself as voice agents for builders, and it is excellent at that. Developers can combine models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq and others with transcription and voice providers such as Deepgram and ElevenLabs, then control the agent through APIs, squads of specialized assistants and visual workflows. If you are building voice into your own product, that control is hard to beat. Vapi also has broader compliance options than UIRIX: SOC 2, HIPAA and PCI are listed, with HIPAA offered as a paid add-on ($2,000 a month on its pricing page). UIRIX is a smaller, newer company and holds no such certifications. - You are a developer or agency embedding voice agents in your own application. - You want to swap language, speech and voice providers per agent and pay them at cost. - You need native integrations such as Salesforce or Slack, which UIRIX does not offer. ## When UIRIX AI fits better On Vapi, the per-minute platform fee is only part of the bill. Transcription, the language model and the voice are billed on top at provider rates, and higher tiers add monthly fees (Core $29, Pro from $999). That is fair for builders, but it means someone has to design, price and maintain the stack. UIRIX includes the voice engine, the model and the knowledge base in the plan: Starter is $49 a month for 1 agent, the $49 counts toward your usage, and usage beyond it is paid from a prepaid wallet. The UIRIX agent is also ready for business use from day one. It creates leads, support tickets and orders, books appointments in Google Calendar or Microsoft 365, transfers live calls to a person, and e-mails you a summary after calls. No function code to write, no webhook server to host. - Website chat widget and voice-in-browser widget with live captions, on the same agent as your phone line. - Outbound campaigns with voicemail/IVR detection, do-not-call list, calling windows and retries. - Site search during a conversation, limited to your own website. ## How to switch from Vapi Export your Vapi assistant prompt and any files you attached, and upload them to UIRIX next to your website crawl. Map each Vapi tool you built to a built-in UIRIX action (lead, ticket, order, callback, appointment, transfer, e-mail, SMS or link); for anything custom, a Zapier webhook usually replaces your own server. Developers can keep automating through Public API v1 and signed webhooks. ## What you get with UIRIX AI - No provider stitching: OpenAI Realtime or Google Gemini Live voice engines, preconfigured. Pick one of 40 voices and go. - 21 inbound actions built in: Leads, tickets, orders, callbacks, appointments, live transfer, e-mail, SMS, links and feedback. - 34 outbound tools: Sales, collections and event (RSVP) profiles, plus HubSpot list import to decide who to call. - Returning-caller memory: The agent remembers the caller's last 3 calls. Calls are recorded by default and transcribed, with card numbers masked in the transcripts of inbound calls on OpenAI voices. ## Vapi vs UIRIX AI at a glance | | Vapi | UIRIX AI | | --- | --- | --- | | Who it is for | Developers and enterprises building voice agents into their own products | Businesses that want a ready agent without writing code | | Setup | API-first, with a dashboard, squads and visual workflows; you choose the providers | No-code: paste your website URL and the agent is drafted in minutes | | Pricing model | $0.05/min platform fee plus provider costs; Core $29/month, Pro from $999/month, Premier custom | Plans at $49, $99 and $299 per month with the AI stack included, or pay-as-you-go from $10/month | | Free trial | $5 in free credits | Free trial credit to build and test your agent, no credit card required; a phone number requires a saved payment card | | Phone numbers | 1 to 5 Vapi numbers on free and Core tiers; import your own | Buy a Twilio number in the dashboard with a saved payment card, and forward your existing number to it | | Website chat and voice widget | Embeddable web widget for text and voice, set up with a public key and assistant ID | Chat widget and voice-in-browser widget with live captions, ready to paste | | Languages | Depends on providers; Vapi Voices lists 40+ languages | 17 languages out of the box, about 70 with Gemini voices | | Outbound campaigns | Yes, from a CSV upload in the dashboard, limited by concurrency | Yes: profiles, voicemail/IVR detection, do-not-call list, calling windows, retries, HubSpot import | | API and integrations | Full API; 30+ integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack and Twilio | Public API v1 with 8 signed webhook events; HubSpot, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Zapier, Twilio | Vapi details come from vapi.ai/pricing, vapi.ai, docs.vapi.ai/outbound-campaigns/overview, docs.vapi.ai/chat/web-widget and docs.vapi.ai/providers/voice/vapi-voices, as of September 2026. Prices change often, so confirm with each vendor before you buy. ## Move from Vapi to UIRIX AI in four steps 1. Paste your URL: UIRIX crawls your website and drafts the knowledge, greeting and instructions. Add your Vapi prompt as a document. 2. Pick a voice: Choose from 40 voices on OpenAI Realtime or Google Gemini Live; no provider accounts needed. 3. Get a number and forward yours: Buy a number in the dashboard with a saved payment card, then forward your existing business number to it if you like. 4. Test and go live: Call the agent, try the website widgets and review transcripts before switching traffic. ## Vapi alternative: common questions Q: How is Vapi priced? A: Vapi's pricing page lists a $0.05 per-minute platform fee, with transcription, model and voice providers billed at cost on top. Paid tiers include Core at $29 a month and Pro from $999 a month; HIPAA is a $2,000-a-month add-on. Q: Is UIRIX AI a developer platform like Vapi? A: No. UIRIX is a no-code product for businesses. It has Public API v1 and signed webhooks for automation, but you do not need code to build or run an agent. Q: Can I choose my own LLM in UIRIX? A: No. UIRIX runs on OpenAI Realtime and Google Gemini Live voice engines and chooses the models for you. If you need to pick every provider, Vapi is the better fit. Q: Does UIRIX include a website voice widget? A: Yes. Every business agent has a chat widget and a voice-in-browser widget with live captions and an "AI View" side panel, plus a demo page on your own site. Q: What does UIRIX cost? A: Starter is $49 a month for 1 agent, Pro is $99 for 3 agents and Business is $299 for 10 agents. Pay-as-you-go starts at $10/month. The monthly price counts toward your usage, each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, and usage beyond the plan is paid from a prepaid wallet. Q: Is UIRIX HIPAA compliant? A: No. UIRIX does not hold HIPAA, SOC 2 or ISO certifications and does not sign BAAs. --- # A Bland AI alternative sized for a small business URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/bland-ai Updated: 2026-09-30 Consider UIRIX AI instead of Bland AI if your call volume is modest and you want a monthly plan with calls included, not a per-minute rate ($0.12 to $0.14 on Bland) or a $299 platform fee. UIRIX builds the agent from your website URL and adds chat and voice widgets for your site in the same setup. ## When Bland AI is the better choice Bland AI has become an enterprise voice platform. It offers dedicated and self-hosted infrastructure, so call data does not pass through third-party model providers, and forward-deployed engineers who help take agents to production. Its no-code builder, Norm, sits alongside a full API, and it supports custom voices and voice cloning. For regulated industries, Bland lists SOC 2 Type I and II, HIPAA with a BAA, PCI DSS and GDPR, plus data residency options on enterprise plans. It also integrates with contact-center platforms such as Genesys, Five9 and Amazon Connect, and with Salesforce. UIRIX AI is a smaller, newer company without those certifications or integrations. - You place thousands of calls a day and need 50 or more concurrent calls. - Your security team requires self-hosted models or a signed BAA. - You need 40+ languages or a cloned brand voice. ## When UIRIX AI fits better Bland's pricing is simple for a per-minute product: the Start plan is $0.14 a minute with no platform fee, and Build is $0.12 a minute plus $299 a month, with the model, speech and voice included. Start is capped at 10 concurrent calls and 100 calls a day. For a small business, though, a per-minute meter still makes the monthly bill depend on how long callers talk. UIRIX Starter is $49 a month with about 100 inbound and 100 outbound calls included, and anything beyond the plan comes from a prepaid wallet you top up. UIRIX is also quicker to shape around your business without a builder session. Paste your website address and the agent drafts its knowledge, greeting and instructions from your pages. Then choose which of the 21 inbound actions it may use: capture a lead, open a support ticket, take an order, book an appointment in Google Calendar or Microsoft 365, or transfer the call to you. - A chat widget and a voice-in-browser widget with live captions on your website, from the same agent. - A demo page that shows the agent running on your own site, handy for approvals. - Outbound campaigns with voicemail/IVR detection, do-not-call list, calling windows and retries. ## How to switch from Bland AI Copy the prompt or pathway text from your Bland agent into a document and upload it to UIRIX, then add your website crawl. If you call lists from Bland, import the same contacts from HubSpot into a UIRIX outbound campaign and run a small batch first. Keep your inbound number on Bland until the UIRIX test calls look right, then forward it. ## What you get with UIRIX AI - Agent from your website: Crawl your site, upload PDF or DOCX files, and mark documents "keep as is" to have them quoted word for word. - Appointments and transfers: Book meetings in Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 and transfer live calls to a person. - Summary after every call: A post-call summary e-mail, plus recordings and transcripts with card numbers masked. - 17 languages built in: About 70 languages with Google Gemini voices, and 40 voices across OpenAI and Gemini. ## Bland AI vs UIRIX AI at a glance | | Bland AI | UIRIX AI | | --- | --- | --- | | Who it is for | Enterprises and regulated teams running high-volume calls; developers on the Start plan | Small and mid-size businesses that want phone, chat and website voice in one agent | | Setup | No-code builder (Norm) plus API; forward-deployed engineers on enterprise plans | No-code: paste your website URL and the agent is drafted in minutes | | Pricing model | Per minute: Start $0.14/min, Build $0.12/min plus $299/month, Enterprise custom | Monthly plans: Starter $49, Pro $99, Business $299, or pay-as-you-go from $10/month | | Free trial | Start plan with no card, including an inbound number | Free trial credit to build and test your agent, no credit card required; a phone number requires a saved payment card | | Phone numbers | An inbound number is included on the Start plan | Buy a Twilio number in the dashboard or forward your existing number | | Website chat and voice widget | Voice, SMS, iMessage and web chat channels | Chat widget and voice-in-browser widget with live captions, plus a demo page | | Languages | 40+ languages | 17 languages out of the box, about 70 with Gemini voices | | Outbound campaigns | High-volume outbound; 10 concurrent and 100 daily calls on Start, 50 and 2,000 on Build | Campaigns with sales, collections and RSVP profiles, voicemail/IVR detection, do-not-call list, retries | | API and integrations | API; 20+ integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot, Twilio, Genesys, Five9 | Public API v1 with 8 signed webhook events; HubSpot, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Zapier, Twilio | Bland AI details come from bland.ai/pricing and bland.ai, as of September 2026. Prices and limits change often, so confirm with each vendor before you buy. ## Move from Bland AI to UIRIX AI in four steps 1. Paste your URL: UIRIX crawls your site and drafts the agent. Upload your Bland prompt as a document. 2. Pick a voice: Choose from 40 OpenAI and Google Gemini voices and set the agent language. 3. Connect a number or forward yours: Buy a number in the dashboard, or forward the number your Bland agent answers. 4. Test and go live: Run a few inbound calls and a small outbound batch, read the transcripts, then switch. ## Bland AI alternative: common questions Q: How much does Bland AI cost? A: Bland's pricing page lists Start at $0.14 a minute with no platform fee, Build at $0.12 a minute plus $299 a month, and custom Enterprise pricing. The model, speech and voice are included in the per-minute rate. Q: Is UIRIX AI cheaper than Bland AI? A: For a business with about 100 inbound and 100 outbound calls a month, UIRIX Starter at $49 is usually simpler to budget. At very high volumes, a per-minute enterprise contract may cost less, so compare with your real call lengths. Q: Can UIRIX handle high call volumes like Bland? A: UIRIX is designed for small and mid-size businesses. If you need thousands of calls a day with dedicated infrastructure, Bland is the better fit. Q: Does UIRIX offer self-hosted models or HIPAA? A: No. UIRIX runs on OpenAI Realtime and Google Gemini Live, does not offer self-hosting, and holds no HIPAA, SOC 2 or ISO certification. Q: Does UIRIX have a website widget? A: Yes. Each agent comes with a chat widget and a voice-in-browser widget with live captions and an "AI View" side panel. Q: Can I import my call lists? A: Yes. You can import HubSpot contacts and lists into an outbound campaign. The HubSpot connection is read-only. --- # A Smith.ai alternative when AI alone is enough URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/alternatives/smith-ai Updated: 2026-10-10 Consider UIRIX AI instead of Smith.ai if you want an AI-only agent rather than per-call answering with human backup. Smith.ai AI calls start at about $1.60 each. UIRIX Starter is $49 a month for one agent, the $49 counts toward your usage, and it includes 17 languages and chat and voice widgets for your website. ## When Smith.ai is the better choice Smith.ai's biggest strength is people. Its plans combine an AI receptionist with North America-based live receptionists who answer 24/7 and take over complex or sensitive calls. For a law firm doing client intake, a medical or wellness practice, or any business where a mishandled call is costly, that human safety net is worth paying for. UIRIX AI can transfer a call to you or your team, but it does not provide staff to answer on your behalf. Smith.ai is also deeply tuned for legal practices, with practice-area intake workflows and integrations with legal tools such as Clio, MyCase and Lawmatics. It offers payment collection, bilingual English and Spanish answering, and a live-staffed web chat service. - You want trained human receptionists to handle calls the AI cannot. - You run a law firm and rely on Clio, MyCase or Lawmatics. - You want a free tier for low volume: Smith.ai lists 25 AI calls a month at $0. ## When UIRIX AI fits better Per-call pricing adds up when your phone is busy. On Smith.ai's AI receptionist page, calls beyond the free 25 cost $3 each, the Pro plan is $150 a month for 75 calls, and volume tiers bring the price toward $1.60 a call. Hybrid calls are listed at $2.50 and human-first calls at $7. UIRIX Starter is $49 a month for 1 agent. The $49 counts toward your usage, each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, and usage beyond the plan is paid from a prepaid wallet, so how many calls it covers depends on how long they are and the voice you choose. UIRIX also does work that a receptionist service usually does not. It runs outbound calling campaigns for sales, collections and events, with voicemail/IVR detection, a do-not-call list, calling windows and retries. The same agent talks to visitors on your website through a chat widget and a voice-in-browser widget with live captions, and it speaks 17 languages out of the box, about 70 with Google Gemini voices. - Built from your website URL: the agent learns your services, hours and policies from your own pages. - Returning-caller memory for the last 3 calls, so repeat callers do not start from zero. - Recordings (on by default), transcripts and a summary e-mail after calls, with card numbers masked in the transcripts of inbound calls on OpenAI voices. ## How to switch from Smith.ai Collect the intake questions, call-handling rules and FAQs you gave Smith.ai, and upload them to UIRIX as documents. Mark scripts that must be read exactly as "keep as is". Set up live transfer to the person or team who should take urgent calls, then forward your business number to the UIRIX agent during a quiet period and review the first day of transcripts. ## What you get with UIRIX AI - Live transfer to your team: The agent hands urgent calls to a person, or schedules a callback instead. - Appointments: Books meetings directly in Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 while the caller is on the line. - Outbound campaigns: 34 outbound tools with sales, collections and event (RSVP) profiles and HubSpot list import. - Voice on your website: A voice-in-browser widget with live captions and an "AI View" side panel, next to the chat widget. ## Smith.ai vs UIRIX AI at a glance | | Smith.ai | UIRIX AI | | --- | --- | --- | | Who it is for | Law firms and service businesses that want AI answering backed by live receptionists | Businesses that want an AI-only agent for inbound, outbound and website conversations | | Setup | Dedicated onboarding on AI Pro; full-service setup on the Enterprise plan | No-code self-serve: paste your website URL and the agent is drafted in minutes | | Pricing model | Per call: AI from about $1.60, hybrid $2.50, human-first $7; AI Pro $150/month for 75 calls | Monthly plans: Starter $49, Pro $99, Business $299, or pay-as-you-go from $10/month | | Free trial | Free AI tier with 25 calls a month; 30-day money-back guarantee on receptionist plans | Free trial credit to build and test your agent, no credit card required; a phone number requires a saved payment card | | Phone numbers | Dedicated numbers included; tracking numbers $5/month | Buy a Twilio number in the dashboard with a saved payment card, and forward your existing number to it | | Website chat and voice widget | Live-staffed AI web chat, sold as a separate service | Chat widget and voice-in-browser widget with live captions, included | | Languages | English and Spanish (Spanish is a per-call add-on on receptionist plans) | 17 languages out of the box, about 70 with Gemini voices | | Outbound campaigns | Outbound follow-ups on receptionist and hybrid plans, not AI-first | Campaigns with voicemail/IVR detection, do-not-call list, calling windows, retries | | API and integrations | Claims 7,000+ integrations, including Clio, MyCase, Lawmatics and Zapier | Public API v1 with 8 signed webhook events; HubSpot, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Zapier, Twilio | Smith.ai details come from smith.ai/pricing/ai-receptionist, smith.ai/pricing, smith.ai and smith.ai/chat, as of September 2026. Prices change often, so confirm with each vendor before you buy. ## Move from Smith.ai to UIRIX AI in four steps 1. Paste your URL: UIRIX crawls your site and drafts the agent. Upload your intake questions and call rules as documents. 2. Pick a voice: Choose one of 40 voices and the languages your callers speak. 3. Get a number and forward yours: Buy a number in the dashboard with a saved payment card, then forward your business number to it. 4. Test and go live: Call the agent yourself, set up live transfer for urgent calls, then switch forwarding on. ## Smith.ai alternative: common questions Q: How much does Smith.ai cost? A: Smith.ai charges per call. Its AI receptionist has a free tier with 25 calls a month, then $3 per call; Pro is $150 a month for 75 calls, and volume plans go down to about $1.60 a call. Hybrid and human-first calls cost more. Q: Does UIRIX AI have human receptionists? A: No. UIRIX is an AI agent. It can transfer a live call to your own team, but it does not supply staff. If you need human backup on every call, Smith.ai is the better fit. Q: How does UIRIX pricing compare? A: UIRIX Starter is $49 a month for 1 agent, Pro is $99 for 3 agents, Business is $299 for 10 agents, and pay-as-you-go starts at $10/month. There is no flat price per call: the monthly price counts toward your usage, each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, and usage beyond the plan is paid from a prepaid wallet. Q: Can UIRIX make outbound calls? A: Yes. Outbound campaigns support sales, collections and event (RSVP) calls, with voicemail and IVR detection, a do-not-call list, calling windows and retries. Q: Which languages does UIRIX support? A: 17 languages out of the box, including English and Spanish, and about 70 languages with Google Gemini voices. Q: Is UIRIX suitable for law firms? A: It can capture leads, book consultations and transfer calls, but it has no native legal integrations such as Clio, and it holds no SOC 2 or HIPAA certification. Firms that depend on those should look closely at Smith.ai. --- # Can ChatGPT Make Phone Calls? Yes, With an AI Phone Assistant (2026) URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/blog/can-chatgpt-make-phone-calls Updated: 2026-10-10 Short answer: as of October 2026, ChatGPT does not place phone calls by itself. It can book restaurant tables through OpenTable, Resy or Yelp without a call, and you can phone ChatGPT, but it has no phone line to call a business for you. To have it call a business, connect a phone service such as UIRIX: your AI phone assistant (https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant) has its own number, calls after your yes, and you read the result in the same ChatGPT chat. Below: what ChatGPT can and cannot do on the phone today, what to ask, how to set it up, what happens on the call, and how UIRIX compares with other ways to have AI call for you. ## 1. What ChatGPT Can and Cannot Do on the Phone A phone call needs a phone number, a connection to the phone network, and a voice that talks on the line in real time. As of October 2026, ChatGPT has none of these for calling out. Here is where it stands: - Restaurant tables: yes, without a call. Since August 2026, ChatGPT can find and book tables at restaurants on OpenTable (worldwide), Resy (US) or Yelp (US and Canada). Depending on the service, you finish the booking in ChatGPT or on the service itself, and changes and cancellations go through the booking service. - Calling ChatGPT: yes. With 1-800-CHATGPT, or by voice-calling a dot inside ChatGPT, you call the AI. It does not call anyone. - Calling a business for you: no. OpenAI publishes no feature that lets ChatGPT dial a dentist, a garage, or a restaurant that only takes bookings by phone. The missing piece is a connector: a service that ChatGPT can hand the task to, with its own phone number and its own AI voice that holds the conversation. ChatGPT stays the place where you ask and where you read the result; the connected AI phone assistant makes the call. ## 2. What You Can Ask It to Do With the UIRIX connector and a Personal AI Agent (https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant), you can type things like: - "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday. If they're full, ask what times they have." - "Call the garage and ask whether my car will be ready by Friday." - "Call these three tile guys and ask what they'd charge to regrout my shower and how soon they could start." - "Call the hotel and ask for a late checkout tomorrow." - "Get me the contractor on the line." (Once he confirms it is him and agrees to be put through, your phone rings.) - "Who called this morning, and what did they want?" Your assistant looks up the business or person among the ones it already knows. For a new business, give the number or let ChatGPT look it up first; you see the number before it calls. ChatGPT is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to wait for your yes, and after the call you can ask it what was agreed. More examples: what to ask your AI phone assistant (https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/what-to-ask). ## 3. How to Set It Up - Create a Personal AI Agent. Sign up at UIRIX (https://dashboard.uirix.com/signup). In the dashboard choose Create agent, then Personal AI Agent. It needs no website and is ready in seconds. - Give it a phone number. On the agent page choose Get Number. A saved payment card is required, and any monthly price is shown before you confirm. - Add UIRIX to ChatGPT. In ChatGPT on the web, open chatgpt.com/plugins (https://chatgpt.com/plugins), select the + button, then Add custom MCP server. Name it UIRIX, paste the server URL https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp, choose OAuth, accept the warning, then create the plugin and install it. - Sign in and switch on Outbound calls. Sign in to UIRIX. On the permission screen, switch on Outbound calls: it is off by default, and without it your assistant cannot place calls. - Ask. In a chat, type @ and pick UIRIX, or type "uirix" and choose your personal agent. Then say what you need. Whether your ChatGPT account can add a custom MCP server depends on your plan, and in a work account on your admin. Using Claude? The same connector works there: see Can Claude make phone calls? (https://www.uirix.com/en/blog/can-claude-make-phone-calls) The Claude and ChatGPT connector page (https://www.uirix.com/en/integrations/claude-chatgpt) has the steps for both apps. ## 4. What Happens on the Call When your assistant calls a business for you, it opens with its name and says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf. It is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks, and never to pretend to be you. It gives the business only the details the task needs. It talks with people; it cannot press keys or wait on hold. Automated phone menus, hold music or repeated hold messages usually end the call within the first minute or two, so it works best with businesses where a person answers: restaurants, salons, garages, contractors and local shops. A call lasts at most 10 minutes. If it reaches voicemail, it is instructed to leave one short message: who it is, who it is calling for, why, and the number to call back. A call that reaches a phone menu, voicemail or silence is reported back to you; it is not dialed again automatically. It does not agree to a price, a deposit, a purchase or a contract unless your task allows it, and it asks about fees before booking or cancelling. ## 5. Come Back for the Result You give the errand by typing in ChatGPT, say yes, and go on with your day. The call goes out right away unless you give a time or a window of hours, and a window follows the local time of the number being called. When the call is done, ask in the same chat, "How did the call go?", and ChatGPT shows the outcome from your assistant: the date and time it booked, the reference number, or what the business offered instead. If nobody answers or the line is busy, your assistant can try again, up to three calls in all, at least 30 minutes apart, and only inside a window of hours you set. To hear when an errand is done, stay in the same chat or set up a scheduled task in your chat app. ## 6. Other Ways to Have AI Make a Call (October 2026) ChatGPT with UIRIX is not the only route. Here is how five options compare, as of October 10, 2026, based on each company's own pages: Option | How you ask | What it does on the call | Where it works and what it costs UIRIX personal agent | Typing in ChatGPT or Claude, through the UIRIX connector | Calls the businesses and people you name, from its own number, after your yes. Cannot press keys or wait on hold. Can also answer calls and take messages. | Numbers in countries such as the US, Canada, the UK and Israel; 17 languages. Pay as you go from $10 a month, calls billed by usage, a number needs a saved card. ClawCall (https://clawcall.dev) | ChatGPT plugin directory, Claude custom connector, or a text message | Presses keys, waits on hold and can bring you into the call. Its top plan also answers calls. | US +1 numbers, English only. Free trial of 30 calls and 30 minutes, then $4.99 to $14.99 a month. Selectic (https://selectic.ai) | A connector in Claude or ChatGPT | Calls, texts and emails businesses for quotes, bookings and questions. Presses through menus and waits on hold. | US businesses only. $0.15 a minute with a 1-minute minimum, no subscription. Pally (https://pally.com) | Text messages, Telegram, a Mac app, or a connector | Books, chases contractors and gets quotes. Works through menus, waits on hold and connects you when the business needs you. | Countries and languages not published. Free, according to its site. Google Search, "Have AI check pricing" | Google Search or AI Mode: tap Have AI check pricing and fill in a short form | Calls several local businesses in set categories for prices and availability, then emails or texts you. Does not book. | US only (not in five states), English, signed-in users 18 and over. Free. Where others are ahead today: ClawCall, Selectic and Pally get through phone menus and hold, which UIRIX does not do yet. ClawCall has a flat monthly price for US calls and a listing in ChatGPT's plugin directory, and Google is free and calls several businesses at once. Where UIRIX fits: you can get its number outside the US and it speaks 17 languages, while ClawCall, Selectic and Google Search calling are US-only. It can also answer calls to its own number, with your own rules for who gets put through, and take messages for the calls you forward to it. For more options and details, see AI that makes phone calls, compared (https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-that-makes-phone-calls). ## 7. Approval, Billing and Privacy - Your yes comes first. Before it calls, ChatGPT is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to get your yes, and the UIRIX connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. One yes can cover a quick comparison of up to three businesses for the same errand, with every number shown to you first. - Billed by usage. Each call is a real call, billed by the AI voice usage it takes plus a short summary, from your plan's monthly amount and then your prepaid wallet. A call ends if your balance runs out. - No secrets in tasks. Your assistant is instructed never to ask for passwords, verification codes or full card numbers, and your profile refuses them; a provider and a customer number are enough. Never put passwords, PINs or card numbers in a task you give it. - What it remembers. It is instructed to save only what you tell it, and you can ask it to forget a person, an account or your whole profile. Call recordings and transcripts follow your privacy settings. - Recording. Calls are recorded by default, transcribed and summarized. - Languages. It speaks 17 languages, and it calls in its own language or another of the 17 you choose for that call. ## Frequently asked questions Q: Can ChatGPT call a restaurant for me? A: Not by itself. As of October 2026, ChatGPT can book tables at restaurants on OpenTable, Resy or Yelp without a call. For a restaurant that takes bookings by phone, connect UIRIX and type something like "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday. If they're full, ask what times they have." Your assistant calls after your yes. See AI that calls restaurants for you (https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/restaurant-reservations). Q: Does ChatGPT call from my number? A: No. Calls go out from your personal agent's own UIRIX number, so that is the caller ID people see. Q: Can Claude make phone calls too? A: Yes, the same way. The UIRIX connector works in claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code with the same tools. The Claude steps are in Can Claude make phone calls? (https://www.uirix.com/en/blog/can-claude-make-phone-calls) Q: Can it answer my calls as well? A: Yes. When someone calls your assistant's number, it asks who is calling and why, takes a message, and puts through only the people you chose. It also answers the calls you forward to it from your mobile when you are busy, and when your carrier marks a call as forwarded from your phone, it takes a message instead of ringing you again. Ask "Who called me today?" in the chat to hear who called and what they wanted; the chat can look back over the last 30 days. Q: Can it call my bank, my cable company or an airline? A: Usually not. Big companies answer with phone menus and hold queues, and your assistant cannot press keys or wait on hold, so those calls usually end early. It works best with businesses where a person answers, such as restaurants, salons, garages, contractors and local shops. Q: How much does a call cost? A: Each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, plus a short summary. Pay as you go starts at $10 a month for up to five agents, and that fee counts toward your usage; calls beyond it are paid from a prepaid wallet, which your first payment funds with $100. Getting a phone number requires a saved payment card. See pricing (https://www.uirix.com/en/pricing). Q: Is this an AI personal assistant or a business tool? A: The Personal AI Agent works for one person. Businesses use UIRIX AI voice agents for customer calls, through the same connector. As of October 2026, ChatGPT does not dial by itself, but with an AI phone assistant behind it, it can have real calls made for you and show you the result. Create a Personal AI Agent (https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant), give it a number, connect it to ChatGPT with Outbound calls switched on, and your next "call the garage" is one sentence away. --- # Can Claude Make Phone Calls? Yes, With a Connector (2026) URL: https://www.uirix.com/en/blog/can-claude-make-phone-calls Updated: 2026-10-10 Short answer: yes, with a connector. As of October 2026, Claude does not place phone calls by itself: it has no phone number and no line to the phone network. Add the UIRIX connector, though, and Claude can ask your AI phone assistant (https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant), a UIRIX personal agent with its own number, to call a restaurant, the garage or a contractor for you. The assistant calls after your yes, and you read the result in the same Claude chat. Below: how it works, the setup in claude.ai, Claude Desktop, the Claude mobile apps and Claude Code, what to ask, what happens on the call, and what it cannot do yet. ## 1. How Claude Makes a Call With UIRIX A phone call needs a phone number, a connection to the phone network, and a voice that talks on the line in real time. Claude has none of these built in, so the call is made by a service Claude connects to. With UIRIX, that service is your personal agent: - You ask Claude. For example: "Call the garage and ask whether my car will be ready by Friday." - Claude checks with you. It is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to wait for your yes. - Your assistant calls. Your UIRIX personal agent dials from its own number and talks with the person who answers. - You read the result. Ask in the same chat how it went, and Claude shows what was agreed. Because the call comes from your assistant, the caller ID people see is your assistant's number, not yours. The same assistant can also answer calls to that number and take messages, and Claude can tell you who called. ## 2. - Add UIRIX to Claude. Use the one-click link (https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=UIRIX&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fdashboard.uirix.com%2Fapi%2Fext%2Fv1%2Fmcp), which opens Claude's Add custom connector dialog with the name and URL filled in. Or, in claude.ai, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector, name it UIRIX and paste https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp. Leave the OAuth fields empty (if the dialog asks about the OAuth client, choose Register automatically) and select Add. - Sign in and switch on Outbound calls. Sign in to UIRIX. On the permission screen, switch on Outbound calls: it is off by default, and without it your assistant cannot place calls. - Ask. In a chat, check that UIRIX is on under + and Connectors, then type "uirix" and choose your personal agent, or just say what you need. Plans and apps: - Claude plans. As of October 2026, Anthropic says custom connectors work on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, and the Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds UIRIX under Organization settings, Connectors, and each member then connects it under Customize, Connectors. - Claude Desktop and the mobile apps. A connector you add on claude.ai is also available in Claude Desktop and in the Claude apps for iOS and Android the next time you sign in. In Claude Desktop you can also add it yourself under Customize, Connectors. - Claude Code. Run claude mcp add --transport http uirix https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp, then type /mcp in Claude Code and finish the sign-in in your browser. If Claude Code is signed in with your claude.ai account, a connector you added on claude.ai shows up there too. ## 3. What You Can Ask Claude to Do Type requests the way you would say them to a person: - "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday under Cohen. If they're full, find out what times they have and get back to me." - "Call the garage and ask if my car is ready." - "Call these three tile guys, ask what they'd charge to regrout my shower and how soon they could start, and put the answers in a table." - "Call the hotel and ask for a late checkout tomorrow." - "Call Rosa's Cantina and ask if anyone turned in a black jacket last night." - "Who called me today? List the calls I need to return and what each one wanted." Your assistant cannot check with you in the middle of a call, so if Luigi's is full, booking another time is a second call and a second yes. One yes can cover a quick comparison of up to three businesses for the same errand, with every number shown to you first. Say "call my dentist" or "call Dana" and it looks them up among the people and businesses it already knows; for a new business, give Claude the number or let it look one up, and you see the number before it calls. What Happens on the Call When your assistant calls a business for you, it opens with its name and says it is your AI assistant calling on your behalf. It is instructed to say it is an AI whenever someone asks, and never to pretend to be you. It gives only the details the task needs, and it does not agree to a price, a deposit, a purchase or a contract unless your task allows it. A call goes out right away unless you give a time or a window of hours, and a window follows the local time of the number being called. If nobody answers or the line is busy, it can try again, up to three calls in all, at least 30 minutes apart, and only inside a window you set. If it reaches voicemail, it is instructed to leave one short message: who it is, who it is calling for, why, and the number to call back. Ask it to get someone on the line and it calls them, checks it reached the right person, and asks if it may put them through. On a yes your phone rings and you are connected. It connects only the person you named, not a receptionist, a voicemail or a phone menu, and your own part of a connected call is billed too. When the call ends, ask Claude in the same chat how it went. Claude does not notify you by itself, so stay in the chat or set up a scheduled task. ## 5. What It Cannot Do Yet Today your assistant works best with people and local businesses where a person answers. As of October 2026: - No phone menus or hold. It cannot press keys or wait on hold. Silence, hold music or repeated hold messages usually end the call within the first minute or two, so big companies such as banks, cable companies, airlines and insurers are not a good fit yet. - No business search of its own. It finds the people and businesses it already knows; for a new one, you or Claude supply the number. - No front desks. When it connects you, it puts through only the person you named. - No payments. It is not meant to pay for anything, and your profile refuses card numbers. Never put passwords, PINs or card numbers in a task. - No recurring calls on its own. Each errand needs your yes. - Not for emergencies. Call emergency services yourself. - Short calls. A call lasts at most 10 minutes. ## 6. Other Ways to Add Phone Calls to Claude As of October 2026, UIRIX is not the only connector that lets Claude have calls made. ClawCall (https://clawcall.dev) and Selectic (https://selectic.ai) can also be added to Claude as custom connectors. Both get through phone menus and wait on hold, which UIRIX does not do yet. ClawCall charges a flat $4.99 to $14.99 a month and Selectic $0.15 a minute, and both call US numbers only. UIRIX fits if you want a number outside the US or calls in one of 17 languages. The full comparison is in AI that makes phone calls, compared (https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-that-makes-phone-calls). ## Frequently asked questions Q: Can Claude call a restaurant for me? A: Yes, with the UIRIX connector and a personal agent that has a phone number. Type something like "Call Luigi's and book a table for 4 at 7pm Saturday. If they're full, ask what times they have." Claude is instructed to repeat the details and get your yes, and then your assistant makes the call. More in AI that calls restaurants for you (https://www.uirix.com/en/ai-phone-assistant/restaurant-reservations). Q: Does Claude call from my number? A: No. Calls go out from your UIRIX personal agent's own number, so that is the caller ID people see. You get the number in the UIRIX dashboard, from countries such as the US, Canada, the UK and Israel, subject to availability. Q: Will Claude call someone without asking me? A: Claude is instructed to repeat the number, the task and the timing and to get your yes first, and the UIRIX connector refuses a call that is not marked as approved. One yes can cover up to three businesses for the same errand, with every number shown to you first. Q: Can Claude tell me who called me? A: Yes, for calls that reach your assistant's number, for example when you forward your mobile to it. Ask "Who called me today?" and Claude lists who called and what they wanted, from the call summaries. It can look back over the last 30 days. Q: Is UIRIX in the Claude connectors directory? A: Not yet. UIRIX was submitted to Anthropic's connectors directory in October 2026 and is not listed yet. You can add it today as a custom connector: in claude.ai open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste https://dashboard.uirix.com/api/ext/v1/mcp. Q: How much does it cost to have Claude make a call? A: Each call is billed by the AI voice usage it takes, plus a short summary. Pay as you go starts at $10 a month for up to five agents, and that fee counts toward your usage; calls beyond it are paid from a prepaid wallet, which your first payment funds with $100.
